He's definitely a project. Still only 18 years old. But he has all the tools to be a defensive allstar.

Drummond and Valesenucius would give the Raps two 7 footers to build their team around. their games compliment each other.

I'm not so sure they do compliment each other. Valanciunas is a guy who does his best work in the paint as well. I wouldn't have disliked taking Drummond, but I think Ross is better for us.

I don't like the Raps pick...simply because they didn't trade down. The guy doesn't create his own shot and that's a little concerning considering there was higher talent available and they didn't trade down to take the guy. Oh well, I still trust BC's drafting, but I'm not thrilled with this one.

And Nash mentioned again to the Raptors by the panel. It's going to be very interesting to see how hard the Raptors go after him in Free Agency

Raptors have nothing to offer Steve Nash besides playing in Canada. I think if he doesn't choose to go after a contender he'll just stick it out in Phoenix. Obviously if the Grizz were still in Vancouver that'd be a different story.

Also liked Charlotte going for MKG, they need a major attitude adjustment and he will certainly give them that.

It sounds like he's looking to get paid and the Raptors can do that. He is still on good terms with BC and the Eastern Conference means his presence alone equals a Raptors playoff spot. That being said, it's not the most attractive situation ever but it's not Raptor fans creating these rumors as much as it is people around the NBA and experts.

Not a fan of the Raptors pick but I understand not wanting to take a risk as eventually with all the crap moves Colangelo has to be on the hot seat and if Drummond blows up like it looks like he could that could be the final nail in his coffin.

Not overly happy with Ross there but this seems like a shallow draft class and they likely weren't getting much at 8 anyways so tough to be too disappointed.

Drummond isn't going to "blow up" for many years from now, BC's fait will have been decided one way or another a long time ago.

Tell tale pick by Phoenix? Makes me think Steve Nash is moving on.

The ESPN crew talked about the Raptors going after Nash and amnestying Calderon. Raps can also pursue Nash without amnestying Calderon. Can still have ~$11mil in cap.

Could Tyler Zeller fall to Houston at #18? There was rumors that they were going to take him at #12.

Surprisingly dull night as far as trades go.

I meant blow up in a bad way.

Should have said bust I guess to be more clear.

As in if Colangelo drafts him his lazy work ethic/attitude are so bad they have to can him or he is useless then that could be the end of Colangelo. I think Colangelo needed to get a guy that is more safe in terms of making the team better.

I would like Drummond over Ross but much easier for me as a fan to take that risk when I have no job on the line like Colangelo.

Andrew Nicholson could be the first Canuck taken as Dallas is leaning towards taking him with the 17th pick.

Royce White is my pick for this year's steal in the draft.

Cody Zeller will probably be top five, maybe even number one next year I'd imagine

Ross fills a need for the Raptors, can play D, catch and shoot plus hit 3's. Though I prefer to pick BPA and not to fill holes (or at least trade down). Seems like a player that would work great with Nash, maybe a litte foreshadowing.
