While I love watching Jerry lose big matches, it is unfortunate that this time it is at the hands of Italy.
However, this was a much deserved win for Italy.

Germany can't beat Italy!
Italy should have had that thing put away in the second half, very wasteful with their chances on the counter attack.
Germany just didn't have the answer, and they looked like they were the team that had two fewer days off. I actually blame Low for the struggles, Gomez looked to be on great form, they decided to not play him against Greece and it destroyed all the confidence he had and created a striker controversy.

Left it too late.
Dang. Italy deserved the win. Germany had a case as well for the win. Buffon was oustanding.
Germany's back four was a mess. The midfield wasn't great. Klose was good. He gave it his all.
Would have liked to see the ref hurry the Italians up a few times with thwir time wasting.
Losing in the semis is getting kind of old.
Italy, at least go beat Spain. Lesser of two evils

Sunday's game has great potential, which of course means it'll be a 0-0 draw and penalties.

I think Podolski may have started his last big game for Germany. Reus looked good out there.
Pirlo was fabulous for Italy. His save set the tone of the game as well

Italy will attack, Spain will walk it around. Let's see who wins.

The BBC has Luca Vialli on with Juergen Klinsmann. Well dressed, well spoken. As classy in the studio as he was on the pitch.

I actually didn't think Gomez was on great form any point this tournament- except maybe against the Netherlands. If he hadn't have scored when he did against Portugal his tournament would have been over there. Certainly not up to his Bayern standards.

FORZA ITALIA!
What a game. I love Balotelli what, a goal that was. Buffon and Pirlo were of course amazing. Man, everyone said we had no chance, now what?
Rematch with Spain, Sunday can't come soon enough.

Italy should have a betting scandal before every tournament.

Such a disappointing tournament, in terms of excitement and storylines.
The World Cup is much better, IMO.

Can't wait for Sunday.
Several people said good job today to me. Feels good considering all I did was weary Pirlo jersey. Unfortunately my cheering doesn't single handedly lead the team to victory. Or maybe it does.

Such a mistake going to 24 next go round. Its definitely going to water down the tournament.

it will water down a bit but it's still way ahead of the world cup
there are good European teams not at this tournament, there are 10-15 garbage teams at every world cup

It will definitely make the group stage less compelling. The World Cup is indeed full of mediocre teams.
