I went to All Auto Battery on Ogden road. They wired in two rebuilt 6 volt batteries and bought my old 12 volt off of me. That was three years ago and they still work great.

So where would be a good place for four couples to go this weekend? I know it's last minute and near impossible to find a spot. We sent someone out to get a spot but it is full. Not looking to go to far from town. We have a tent trailer and three tents.

A pretty decent resource for finding campgrounds is http://www.albertawow.com

Where did you try FKA? Last long weekend we went to Gooseberry (just west of Bragg Creek.) We went Thursday afternoon and got one of the last spots. (Or at least the 2nd last good spot.) When we got there we found many sites with a single kid's tent on them and reserved. The managers told us some people had come out on Tuesday to hold a spot.

I love going out to chinook lake in the cnp. It's never usually full as the area is a big staging area for quads and stuff so people usually camp at the staging areas.

Crazy to think that in the cnp area I was told there is over 6000kms of trail for quading and snowmobiling.

Straight edge. The serated edge on a knife that small is useless.

I like the serated edge, I find you don't have to sharpen the knife as often with it.

We went out to Paddy's Flatts yesterday evening and set up tents in a couple of spots. Lots of sites had little pup tents set-up and were reserved through the weekend. By the time we were done setting our tents up (about 8pm), the campground was essentially full (minus the sites that had little streams running right through them due to all the rain) and folks were circling through and leaving without a spot.

I'm asking for someone else, but is there any chance of finding a spot for just Sunday night anywhere or is everything pretty much going to be full?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Radio said there are lots of places available because of the fear of rain. Just have to look online for reservations.

I saw a couple come up yesterday but they were gone pretty quick, our buddy got three nice spots at Fisher creek and we went out last night and sorta set up camp. The one side there is pretty wet so it's empty

I'm not sure about the skunk population in Alberta but I always bring this along in case my dog gets sprayed. Used it once, forget tomato juice this absolutely works!

1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide.
1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda
1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap
1 pair of plastic or latex gloves

  • Combine the ingredients in an open container (do not store in a sealed bottle--it will explode).
  • Using gloves, wash your dog with lukewarm water and the mixture while the mixture is bubbling. Work the mixture well into the fur.
  • Keep mixture away from your dog's face and eyes (it's a harsh solution).
  • Let the mixture stand for 10 minutes or so before rinsing off.
  • Rinse the dog with lukewarm tap water. Don't wash the mixture into your dog's eyes (use a washcloth to cover the eyes if you're rinsing the head).
