Text Trading
Do any of you guys have iphones? Not sure if some of you would be open to trading via text. I know I will be in the hospital for 80+ hours a week with residency starting on Monday. I have an Iphone4 so I can imessage anyone in Canada and it only uses some data (of which I have a ton).
Any one else with iphones out there that would be open to talk trades?

if you have iPhones the iMessage feature makes the texts via Canada and US free. The prob with the app is if you set to to push notifications it really eats up the battery.

I can text with my Blackberry free anywhere...and dont iPhones use WhatsApp for free texting anywhere? (0.99cents for the apple)

Yeah they do cheese... but iMessage is a lot like the BB pin or BBconnect or whatever you BB users have. It allows iPhone users to text each other free

Skip the messaging. Straight to phone calls! After all, typing 'click' is not the same as actually hanging up on someone.

I think you can use imessage without having push notifications, I just get a silent text but I end up checking my phone all the time so I see them frequently. It would be fun just to even start talks or finish off a trade via text as it can be a lot quicker then loading cpuck on my browser and PMing someone. I know Pat has an iphone, anybody else?
I would also consider downloading whatsapp but I want to wait for Cheese to have something of value before I do.

To your question though Ravi, I'm open to use iMessage or whatever platform is decided if it helps trade talks. I use pm a lot through the safari mobile browser and while it's harder for sure, it still works pretty well.

I bet it would be reassuring to patients to know their doctor is trying to rush them out the door to make a CPHL blockbuster!

Hesla does this all the time. The next time I am in Calgary and need my eyes checked, I am going to offer him Duchene just so I get an extra 15 minutes of his attention.

I do the deals while my patient is in teh room... they think i am typing up stuff about their eye exam when they are sitting behind the Phoropter
