What drives me nuts is when people actually say the abreviation. So someone actually says 'OMG' or 'LOL'. And its not just kids. We were in a meeting when a women actually used OMG to star a sentence. I lol'd and then othe people lol'd, then the women was embarrassed, she wasnt really youn either, probably 30ish.

I always envision Mimi from the Drew Carey Show when I see that. It must die.

"Broccoli" - Don't like the veggie; hate the word.

I have literally never heard any of those except broccoli...

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

"Lady Driven"

Ah yes. The fairer sex must drive better and service their cars much better than men. For that I will pay an extra 10% for your car.

I despise when someone calls breakfast breakie. It's so juvenile to hear it come from some 30 something.

Also, peoples obsession with IPA's needs to stop.

Short for swagger? I've always used the term to refer to free stuff. Not swagger.

Using the word "whilst" instead of "while" anywhere outside of rural Britain.

Nothing drives me battier then dealing with moronic IT people who use "whilst" in emails but never actually say it verbally.

Swagger is driving me nuts these days too. Hockey announcers need to get past "Swagger" and "compete level" soon. Please.

Girls calling a guy "unreal" or "beauty" in a sports context. There are few words that make you look less attractive than those two.

Ending a sentence with ", you guys."

After watching the draft and reading the twitter comments on the ticker thing, I am really sick of people who say "classic" after everything, especially where it does't make sense.

"Jordan Staal traded to Carolina - classic!"

"I hope we draft Teuvo! Classic!"

"Forsberg is slipping a little. Classic!"

Was that word recently overused used in one of those teenager movies or something?

And "pedigree".

It seemed to be used out of context a lot too. TSN loves catch words a little too much.

I think it was actually Mcguire who said something along the lines of; "He has won at every level and therefore he has a good pedigree..."...

The expression

"well think about it"

it is just a random statement in a conversation but I find it an absolute insult as if it is implied I am not thinking.

and dont get me started on the over used phrase "that being said"

I'll add "blood lines". Its one of the stupider things to focus on IMO. Its a great story for the broadcasters and all, but virtually meaningless for the actual hockey players talents and skills.

There's one that I can't stand. I mean, you've already started talking about it without any prompting from me!

Also these types of phrases...

"I'm not a racist, but..."
"I don't want to sound harsh, but...."

Whenever someone leads into a statement with one of these prhases you can rest assured that they ARE racist and DO want to sound harsh.

There is one exception to this kind of phrase which can stay...demonstrated below because of its intrinisic comedic value.
