Can't see how anyone's surprised... If we wanted him we would have kept our pick at 14 and taken him. When that didn't happen it's obvious the Flames have a different player in mind.

Trading down is pretty much a vote of no confidence in the scouts. Which is crazy considering how good Sven has been so far.
