Default 2:30am Cram Sesh

Yeah, it's 2:32 am. Been cramming for my math final for the past couple of hours. I just needed a bit of a break. Very sleepy, but I must keep givin' er. No end in sight yet.

Anybody know anything about Linear Functions?

I once got a new job doing business plans. The condition was, I had to complete a plan in 72 hours.

And the catch was, they hated us.

I was on Van 1 hour after I got the job. I was using my mom's phone for the minutes! (it was 01)

After I placated the 'victim' I got the details of the plan. (oh yes, they were supplied) but not sure how you write a Misson Statement without talking to the owner.

I crashed at my moms house, and I abused the LD.

Long story short, there is a deli on Robson street that to this day gives me a free sandwich with 'green'. And I won the job.

You'll be ok. I forgot my secret.

Just eat coffee beans. Throw them on ice cream.

This either makes no sense or a lot of sense. I can't tell which because I'm really sleepy.

Ah I remember late night cram sessions, and the damage they'd cause to my physical and mental health. But hey, I wouldn't be commerical manager of a company today if I hadn't gotten that B+ in vertebrate paleozoology!

Pfft that's nothing.

Try having a 6 month project erase itself and you have 4 1/2 days till you present it and it's basically your entire year's grade. I did not sleep that entire time. Followed that up by 22 hrs straight sleep.

That was the biggest test of endurance I've had to go through. That royally f'ed my sleeping schedule for two weeks following, but hey, I got a good mark at least.

A friend of mine used to go on a big road trip before each final exam, because his thought was if you did not know it the night before, you were not going to learn it.....

And you learned your lesson. Don't start a project that size until about 5 days before it's due.

If you didn't know it the night before, that still gives you the entire night to learn enough to pass or do better than you would have done otherwise.

He didn't start the project with 5 days due. He had to remake it because it was erased. If that happened to me, I don't know what I would do. 5 days of no sleep would probably make me jump off the nearest building.

That's his point, don't start that project so far in advance. Instead start 5 days before the due date to avoid this pesky problem.

Exactly. It greatly minimizes the chances of data loss if there are only a few days prior to the deadline for it to occur. It's all about risk management.
