I want to see these events in the Olympics.

There's luge and skeleton. They're inventing stuff in the winter games too.
There's slalom and giant slalom. Then an event that combines the two. Super G!
And there's Nordic Combine whatever that is!

I agree to a small extent. There is a growing argument for it in Winter.
But it's still not 82 medals in pools.

I was watching world and Canadian history in the 100m. As I believe, it is the king of events. It's the whole reason it started.
Who can go the fastest. Who is the fastest man.
From Johnson to Bailey. A curious set of circumstances, and a redemption heard round the world.
To watch that all again. That's why I'm so excited for Jamaica, Usain Bolt, and every other runner after.
But I could really care less about dressage or rhythmic gymnastics.

The Olympics (both summer and winter) need to be paired down. Many of the sports should be pulled. There should be no shooting events with one exception, biathlon that’s good.

WOW! There are 15 shooting events!
Unless they're shooting each other, this seems alot.

i remember back in high school i would watch female gymnastics during the olympics since there were quite a few hot girls my own age competing. now when i flip through the channels and stumble on the female gymnastics, i feel like Chris Hansen will be knocking on my door any minute
life was simpler back then

so there's shooting bulleyes, targets and clay?
Unless they're shooting people or REAL PIGEONS! There shouldn't be this many events.
18 Wrestling events!

I'd have preferred it if Paris got the Olympics. Would probably be able to get to some of the venues quicker.
I'm not mad for the Summer Games - prefer the Winter Olympics by a big big margin.

Crazy eh? Sailing, unless it's though shark infested waters, in boats that have bombs on a timer I am not interested. Biathlon, that's impressive shooting.

Calgary is great for that, since moving here in the 90s i have never had a score accidentally revealed to me by any flag waivers or for that matter, conspicuous silence in Italian or Argentinian neighborhoods.

I've got about three colleagues at work vying with each other to be the first to let me know when the Flames lose.

Even then there are so many weak teams that theres really only a handful of games worth watching.

I'll admit, if it weren't for hockey, I don't think I'd even watch the Winter Olympics. I dunno, there's just not any interesting sports for me.
I always liked the the Summer Olympics better. To me, it just feels more epic, and way more countries are able to participate. I love watching the gymnastics and the water sports.

I rather like Olympic basketball... if the US wins you get to watch an amazing team. If the US loses, it's hilarious!

I'm not a fan of the Olympics. Either of them, really. I'll watch the hockey of the Winter games, but that's really about it. The rest of the Olympics just don't interest me. I don't care about those sports for four years, I'm not going to care about them for 2 weeks every four years.

I like watching both of the Olympics. Primarily interested in the track and swimming events for the summer. Tennis and volleyball women isn't bad either.
When it comes to winter I have a general interest for all the events since Canada is better at those games (naturally). Hockey of course holds highest interest for me.
