@ DownifFlames

Waht are you riding for a board? I am thinking I need a board more on the wide side. I think an 8 inch board may be too skinny for a guy 36 years old and 6'1" 215lbs

I had this deck, but the background was purple.

But after 6 months, my BF borrowed it and snapped it in half.

I was thinking about getting my daughter one when she grows up a little just to see if I can boot around without bailing too bad.

I notice from some of the pics, that people have rails on their decks. Is that "allowed"? I remember back in my day, you were uncool if you had rails. It was a big skateboarding sin. At least in my parts.

I probably put the skateboard away when I was 16. A few years ago when I was 22 (Not even that old!) it seemed like a good idea to bring it out of the closet for a few tricks on the front street. Session didn't last very long, tried doing a measly 180 and tore my ACL!

Needless to say, next time I get the urge, the skateboard is staying in the closet!

I started skating when I was really young, like 7 and stopped when I was about 13. Me and some buddies took it up again in our mid 20's. We got so into it we ended up building a 6' half pipe and 3' mini pipe... it was such a fun summer. I've since hung up the board but I'm sure when my son gets old enough to ride I'll get back into it with him.

By the way, I had that original cab when I was a kid!
