It's probably better that they went with planes because it's more original. I'm a big fan of games like Sid Meier's Railroads and Transport Tycoon though so I would've been happy if they stuck with the first idea.

I'm really enjoying this game. The only thing I wish I could do was play on my iPhone and then continue on my iPad. And way to do that?

You need to use iCloud to do this. You need to have the same appleid on both devices. It does take a few minutes to sync across but it does work. There is some better instruction posted in this thread.

Hit level 14 yesterday evening, this gives your access to the Pearjet. 5 capacity and with fully upgraded fuel tanks it can make the NYC-London hop. I have a nice feeder network filling up LAX, NYC, and LHR which I am running 3 Pearjets on.

Boy oh boy, how did I live without buying a class 3 airport? Bought LAX and wow, I don't think I will ever run out of jobs now.

What $ package did you end up buying, if you don't mind me asking? I really want to make the Atlantic hop! I'm currently running from London to Paris to Cario to Dehli to Tokyo. Some faster, long range planes would be nice.

I'd also like to know how that one person is at almost 100 levels!

I just tried and I am getting the error "Flight crew details are unavailable at this time".

Before this error message, I wasn't able to see any meaningful details in about a day or two. I figured it was because I wasn't participating in the global quest (I started in Europe). It sounds like they are having problems and hopefully my problem is currently being fixed.

So what's the best early strategy? So far I've been shuttling stuff between my 3 starting airports with my 4 starting planes. I haven't done anything else yet for fear of making a bad choice.

For some reason my iPhone isn't updating to where my iPad was so I won't be able to help with the mission today. I finally have my cross Atlantic flight. I got flights going from Los Angeles to Toyko, I got a couple feeders into both airports to shuttle across.

I only got two planes that can cross the Atlantic so it's a bit tricky (I use London/Paris as a feeder to either side), I'm really debating on buying some bux for better planes but kinda want to wait until I can get some Jumbos.

Level 16 you get a 6 seater Aeroeagle, but it's a lot slower than the 5 seater Pearjet.

My GC numbers are all funky. It says my longest flight was 265,440 miles however I only have 145,416 miles flown. My peak value is over $11 million, I am no where close to that, perhaps they will be updated shortly, I only signed up for GC today.

I've heard the Aeroeagle isn't worth it, better to stick with Pearjets and upgrade them. I think the next big breakthrough is level 20 when the Fogbusters show up.

That's a nice network you have HOOT. Right now I'm setup as:

Honolulu-LAX-NYC-LHR-Tehran

I'm running Birchcraft's between LAX-HNL and Pearjets x2 on every other route except NYC-LHR, where I have 4 running.

Thanks, only thing that sucks is the long waits between flights. Going from LAK to TOY it takes over 1.5hrs.

However when you land and get $10k it makes it worth it.

Nice! I thought about going to Honolulu but have waited, want to spend the cash on more plane spots. How many planes you at?

I'm at 14 planes right now, using an old Anan-C for the Brisbane global event. I'm thinking of dumping Honolulu and going south from LAX to Lima and Buenos Aires for maximum distance runs when I finally expand into the Jakarta area.
