O man when Stern dropped that I felt horrible for the guy but we still pulled it out! For everything the olympic hockey team made me feel depressed Team Canada just picked me up. The group of Canada fans with there stomachs painted all the Canadian flags, STEVE freaking Nash drinking a beer with a huge smile on his face. THat was awsome!!!

Almost questioned whether it was meant to be when Stern bobbled that fly ball at the end. Tremendous win for Canadian baseball.

			Yay.
I was sure the highlight of the game was going to be that Stern guy dropping that ball.

I hear you.....that got tense, he almost made a highlight reel catch for the win but we pulled it out. Man Canada's offense has been so strong.

That was a great win. A little closer than I would have liked after getting out to such a huge lead, but just a real gutsy game by our team.
Can hardly wait for the next game!

			Ha ha, stupid Americans.
I have not really been following. Was the US roster filled with MLB stars?

only A-rod, Jeter, Damon, Varitek, Chipper Jones, Griffy, Wells, etc etc etc.......
and Canada without Gagne, Harden, and Dempster. Very impressive.

great game, awesome catch by Stern (in the 8th) to in all likelyhood save the victory. Great shot of Nash there at the end.

At least one of our national teams can still put forward respectable performances .

Its going to be very interesting if Canada loses to Mexico tomorrow. The top 2 teams advance, and if the US beats South Africa, 3 teams will be sitting at 2-1.
The tiebreaker is the team that beat the team they're tied with gets to move on, but in this case...Canada beat the US, the US beat Mexico, and if Canada loses tomorrow, Mexico beat Canada.

I guess it would go to runs for and against? Does anyone know?

Bedard on the mound should be a big plus.
Anybody else find it somewhat ironic that on the day the whole Bond's thing really comes to the forefront and people begin to talk about the way these so called superstars have really ruined the integrity of this game by pumping roids into them, that a team of hard nosed Canadians with a pitcher on the mound who played in A ball last year could beat a team with all stars all over it and four to be hall of famors. I'm not saying all USA baseball players are evil but it sure does put a smile on my face.

Stern's inside the parker was amazing. Not to mention I would love to get a screen cap of Utley flipping his bat thinking he's hit one out

It really sucks I was at school during this.
Nice to see British Columbia Premier Baseball League alumnus (as am I) Adam Loewen pitch so well. Now we get to see another (Jeff Francis) tomorrow against Mexico. Go BCPBL! Go Canada!

This ranks up there for me with CAN winning the Gold Cup in CONCACAF soccer.
