I get the spirit of this thread but we, as Flames fans, aren't really in any position to talk #### about any team's lack of Cups these days. I realize Vancouver hasn't won one yet, but I like their chances better than ours in the foreseeable future. Just saying.
It has nothing to do with comparing the teams. It is simply pointing out, and relishing in the misery of their team, and fan base. There was once a point in time were I used to say "I almost enjoy a Canuck loss, as much as a Flames win." Now, I actually believe I get more satisfaction, and fulfillment in my life, out of Canucks losses. I anti-cheer for them if that makes sense. I don't care for, or cheer for teams beating them, I just cheer for them to lose.
I hate their sissy coastal inspired uniforms
I hate their lame, unoriginal 'stick in rink' pathetic logo
I hate their greasy disgusting anthem singer
I hate their boring featureless building
I hate their smarmy coach
I hate their d-bag players
I hate their diving cheating embellishing ways
But more than ANYTHING.... I HATE their fans, and get off on seeing them suffer.
It is a sick obsession, but I have just accepted it. I am also convinced, the negative thoughts, hatred and poisonous energy I possess for that disgusting travesty of a team, actually is contributing factor, in their continuing failure, and most importantly the suffering of their fans.

Good god, I am so tired of this sentiment. There is no hierarchy of fans that conforms to sets of entitlements and privileges. If I want to lambaste and deride another NHL team, then I am free to do so no matter who I happen to cheer for. As a fan of a division rival, there is nothing at all untoward about reminding Canucks fans and anyone who will listen on a regular basis about how much I hate this franchise and precisely why that is so. If the Flames never won another hockey game, this would not change things. It is endemic, and it really has NOTHING to do with how much better one team happens to be than another.

I think the spirit of that sentiment is "Those who love in glass houses should not throw stones..."
I think we all may be underestimating Calgary Puck as a driving factor in educating the general public of the "Canuck way".
God given duty --> CP members --> general public --> media --> individual NHL teams.
Thank you CP and thank you Boston Bruins.
I sent pictures from this thread on Friday to the three Cannots fans that teach at my school. They had no response other than "You're mean!" and "How do you remember stuff like this?"

Not to mention, the Canucks and their fans also:
- pull hair.
- their "hall-of-fame" goalie lets in 7 goals, then 6 in elimination playoff games.
- throw things on the ice to help their team because they can't win fairly.
- use laser pointers on other team's goalies.
- assault opposing team's fans.
- plan parade routes before the playoffs even begin.
- their captain throws the team under the bus after a tough loss.
- diving
- calling out the refs because they've had enough of their diving.
- more diving
- rioting
- breaking necks
- "free Bertuzzi" rallies
- waving their white towels in surrender when the refs don't call the game the way they like
- players getting into altercations with opposing team's fans

You left out biting, and kneeing opponents in the groin.
Seriously, their hero, Alexandre Burrows, who they all worship, has in 3 separate distinct instances, bit a player, pulled a players hair in a fight, and kneed a man in the groin.
Anyone who cheers for a person like that, fully condones their actions, and worships them, like every single Canucks fan does, is sub-human.

Does that mean I don't have to pay full price for a movie ticket?

To be fair to Burrows, seeing someone get hit in the groin is pretty damn funny.
Nice memories of seeing the Canucks lose game 7 of the final for the 2nd time. June 14, 1994 is another date to be happy about as the Cannots lost to the Rangers.
ICBC has launched a civil lawsuit against 46 people charged or convicted in the Stanley Cup riot, seeking damages for 77 vehicles damaged or destroyed.
Spokesman Adam Grossman said the insurance company paid out over half a million dollars in claims to clients whose vehicles were damaged or destroyed.
"We had vehicles that were overturned, windows that were smashed, damage as a result of being scratched, jumped on, hit with objects ... and a good proportion of those 77 vehicles had to be written off as well," said Grossman.
The provincially owned insurance company filed the notice of civil claim in B.C. Supreme Court on Friday, two years after the riot broke out in downtown Vancouver following the seventh game of the Stanley Cup final.
