I just listened to the press conference on BBC Norfolk - very encouraging. Obviously, there are a lot of standard statements and lines, but I get the impression that he wants to be there, and that Norwich are looking to spend smartly.

An interesting tidbit shared by chairman David McNally: Norwich expect to have a turnover of £75 million, which is only £5 million shy of what Everton is likely to spend. Not high rollers but any means, but if spent wisely, should be "enough" to solidify their place in the Premier League.

There is a 1-hour special Canary Call show about to start right now on BBC Norfolk right after the news. I imagine that the tone will be: Thank you Lambert, you brought us out of the dark ages, but onward an upward!

Niko Kranjcar to Dynamo Kiev.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...o-move?cc=5901

I liked Kranjcar but he became expendable when Bale became a superstar.

Yep, just in a bad situation, he scored some massive goals for Spurs

The fact that Levy got 7.5m for him though is outstanding

wasn't playing, out of contract next year, I thought he might go for half that

All sorts of unconfirmed rumours that Harry Redknapp has been sacked or has quit Tottenham Hotspur today

I know he was a little choked that they hadnt extended him going into the last season of his contract, but I didnt think he'd quit.

Knowing 'Ol 'Arry he probably just grandstanding or something.

Maybe the FA has sacked Roy and Harry is on his way to save the day......

Harry says he has not quit according to ESPN
Redknapp told ESPN: "No, I haven't resigned, and I have no idea why it is being suggested that I have resigned.

"This is an outrage; an absolute liberty for people to be putting around this kind of rumour on the internet. It is not true, there is not a chance I will resign. Why should I? I have a year left on my contract."

However it is now common knowledge, as ESPN has already revealed, that talks on Redknapp's part, with new agents hired for the specific task of negotiating an improved deal, have stalled with no offer from Spurs beyond his current contract.

Daniel Levy's mother died last week which is why talks have 'stalled', as he has been busy

There's no chance in hell Harry resigns because there's no chance he goes in to next year with 1 year left, he either gets $$$$ to leave or a new deal

my guess is he stays, but if he leaves and they bring in AVB I would not mind at all, his system would work great with Spurs players, they have good wingers and a quick back line like he had at Porto, Chelsea last year didn't have good wingers and their back line was molasses

If he leaves and it's a Moyes/Martinez type name I won't be

Senior sources at #MUFC telling me they're not after Modric, which is a surprise. Only way it might happen is if Spurs offer him up, big if

Mail and Mirror both reporting that PSG are now in the hunt for Modric.

I wouldn't mind that

they would be willing to meet the valuation if they are interested and he goes to a different league

Why didnt he leave and take the England job? That seems so stupid. It looked like they were committed to Harry long-term.

If Harry goes, I'd LOVE FOR UNITED TO AGAIN take Totts best player. Garreth Bale.

I can't actually think of a better left winger. I'm sure it'd be a pretty penny though. 22 yrs old. 45mil?

Probably spent the last of our quid on that Nick "who" Powell signing yesterday

again?

who was the first?

only players I can think of sold the last few years were Berba and Carrick for a combined 50m, don't think many would argue which team got the better of those days...

chances of Gareth Bale going to United are nil, when he goes in a few years it's Barca or Madrid

some lazy journalists seem to think this means exodus for a reason that doesn't make sense

none of the big players are typical Harry players who he brought on

Levy sanctions every transfer, Harry moaned on and on about not having total control, just because he fired the coach doesn't mean they are suddenly going to give away Modric and Bale, they both have contracts for 4 more years

I honestly like Levy. He doesnt take crap, players that are under contract are under contract and thats that. If they want to move on then you have to be duly compensated. I like that. Too many clubs just think 'well, he wants out, good riddance, take what you can get.' Liverpool are one of the worst for that. Its slowly getting better.

As for the 'exodus expectation,' thats pretty common stuff. Managers like to take the players they like with them, like Paul Konchesky....

I must be missing something. He seemed loyal to Spurs, his results were pretty good, other than the collapse at the end of the season, he stuck with them. And now, what, he leaves because he only has another year left on his contract?

It doesnt make sense to me.
