Scenarios for group B:
Germany:
clinches first place with win or tie
Advance with Loss and Netherlands Win
Denmark:
Advance with Win
Advance with tie and Netherlands Win
Portugal:
Advance with Win
Advance with Tie and Germany win or tie
Netherlands:
Advance with Win by two goals & Germany Win
If Germany Wins, and NED wins by one, then the scores in the games matter.
1-0 NED win means that DEN advances if they score at least one goal vs Germany, and only lose by one.
One goal win for NED other than 1-0 means that Portugal advances.
If Denmark wins by 1 and Portugal Wins:
Tiebreakers are too complicated to waste my time on, lol.

Amazing that Germany could still go home.
I'm banking on the incredible: Germans beat the Danish and the Dutch slaughter the Portuguese.
Do it for my pool you cheeseheads!

I believe in the Jays.

I had Germany in first and Denmark in 2nd. So a draw between those two will do just fine for me. Hopefully an exciting 0-0 draw!

If GER/DEN draw, Portugal just needs to draw NED to advance with Germany.

Will be interesting to see how the Holland-Portugal game plays out.
Dutch will know they need to win by 2 and will be attacking all game, and Portugal will know a win gets them through, could make for an exciting match up.

The last three European teams to lose in the World Cup Finals (Italy-94, Germany-02, France 06) have failed to make it out of the group stages the following Euro Cup.
The Netherlands could make it four straight this season.

It's hillarious to see a German player with the name Gomez.... He was born in Germany to a German mother but his father is from Spainish decent but hails from Grenada.
Podolski's moved from Poland to W. Germany when he was two but his grandparents were Germans before the war and the land was then turned into Poland.
Klose was also born in Poland but his father was an Ethnic German and carried German citizenship.
Boateng was born in Berlin to an Ghanan father and German mom
Khedira is also a German born player with a mother that is German and a father that is from Tunisia
Oezil is a third generation German of Turkish decent.
The German Roster is all German.
It's always nice to beat the Dutch. However I have to give a little credit to Robben. He and Badstuber went up for a header and collided, both were cut open but Robben went to the sidelines and took staples right there on the spot.

I wonder if the German team will be able to play in Danzig or Breslau at all in the tournement and what the response will be.

If Denmark wins 1-0, and Portugal wins by any score, Denmark and Portugal would go thru as all three teams(Por/Den/Ger) would be even on plus minus, but Denmark and Portugal would have 3 goals and Germany would only have 1 in the games amongst the three teams. I believe Portugal would win the group as they beat Denmark and the tiebreaker amongst two teams would be head to head.
If Denmark win 2-1 or by two or more goals in any scoreline and Portugal win, Denmarks wins and Portugal get second.
As a Portugal fan, I am happy that Germany aren't home and clear so they should beat Denmark and that means Portugal could win, draw or even lose 1-0 to Holland and still go thru.

The Dutch will eventually realize that using the premier league's top scorer isnt working. The Bundesliga's second top scorer has 3 goals in 2 games, imagine what its' top scorer could do with some actual playing time without RvP in the way.

It's been almost 70 years, I would hope its all in the past. The only fans that seem to bring up the war are the English, and thats because it's all they have except for '66.

Germany and the bundesliga could be the future of soccer. Highest GDP and second largest population in UEFA (though Turkey will probably surpass it in soon) and strong domestic league growing in popularity with Bayern competitive in the Champions League the past few years. They could dominate Europe for the next two decades.
Also they have a few celebrity dopplegangers:
Crispin Glover and Mario Gomez:
Kyle MacLachlan and Joachim Lowe:
Dory and Meszut Ozil:

I always thought Ozil looked more like Frodo myself. Although I can see the resemblance to Dory

I'm real nervous about today's Croatia/Italy match. I have no idea what to expect, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
I find that I'm enjoying the matches much more than I did four years ago. The fact that no match has ended 0-0 thus far is making a difference. This goal scoring is great!

Croatia advances with a win.
Ireland is eliminated with a loss and Italy/Croatia not ending in a draw.
