I need to stay away from this thread while watching the game on Bell Mobile TV. Must be a minute behind.

Which was interesting when my wife called to tell me the score was 2-2, and I hadn't seen the goal yet, and of course, the call interrupts the live playback.

The result of this match greatly influences the netherlands- germany match. I'm kind of hoping for a denmark win just so the nethetlands will be forced to all out attack and that vulnerable back 4 will be left even more vulnerable on the counter attack

A Netherlands win by 2 goals would take them into first place in the group, and they would only need to draw Portugal in the final game to advance.

Messi and Ronaldo both leave a lot to be desired at the international level. I have made this argument before but I cannot include either of them as some of the best ever until they prove it at the international level.

Messi moreso then Ronaldo since Argentina has a much better squad top to bottom and they still struggle. I cringe when I hear Messi compared to Pele and Maradona since while he has success on a stacked club he hasn't led his team on the world stage like the true greats. Ronaldo at least had some good showings in Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006.

Back on topic with Euro news. I hope the Dutch win today so we see all teams on 3 points heading into the final day.

That was a great match, two very even teams going at one another rather than one team with possession and one team defending.

Its just unfortunate that the Danes couldnt get the draw.

Blood pressure back down to a normal level.

Ronaldo better go buy dinner for Varela, he owes him huge. All the talk would have been about Ronaldo's misses if this ended in a draw.

The argument about Ronaldo not playing with a good team in international play and that's why he struggles with Portugal is not valid today. He was given the opportunities and blew it on his own. Unacceptable. The second miss was so bad. With a charging keeper, make the move to your left and you're laughing.

Now I cheer for Germany.

Germany unchanged, the Dutch have swapped Mathijsen for Vlaar at the back, but held faith with RvP over Huntelaar who stays on the bench.

I think this German team would be a lot better off with Gotze in there instead of Khedira.

Put him on the left in place of Podolski. That's what I was hoping for. I think Khedira plays his role well.
