Poland have Polanski up front ... Russia have a 12 year old girl up front... this could get a bit messy

The commentator really needs to enunciate a little more clearly when pronouncing 'Zhirkov.'

It can easily be misconstrued and lead to an NSFW situation.

Kuba puts a dagger into the heart of the Russians!

For once the Poles are holding back the attack from the Eastern Front!

Police official Andrzej Borowiak says 10 Poles, three Irish fans and one Croat have been detained. Police are still trying to determine what role they had in the fight.

That has to be the set-up for a joke. #PostThePunchline

kit - uniform/jerseys (incl. shorts and socks)

racism - Huh? What are you talking about? Those fans were pointing with their arm outstreched to a cloud they saw in the sky that looked interesting.

Scenarios for Group A final games:

Russia - advances with a win or tie; advance with a 1 or 2 goal loss & a Czech/Poland tie.

Czech - advance with a win; advance with a tie & Russia win or tie

Poland - advance with a win

Greece - advance with a win & Poland/Czech does not end in a draw; advance with a win by two goals & Poland/Czech tie.

I think that is right.

For ten musicians from England it was the night they never even got the chance to ‘play on.’ Sitting expectantly in their seats at the 50,000 capacity Donbass Arena on Monday evening the famous brass band were looking forward to backing England’s bid to win the Euro 2012 championship with their trademark support.

But the band members had not reckoned with one particularly over zealous stadium controller who saw them preparing to play their famous ‘Great Escape’ tune for the 5,000 travelling England fans .

And before they could raise their trombones and trumpets to their lips they were told they would have to leave the stadium - and would be refused permission to re-enter if they tried to bring in their instruments.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-stadium.html

Good. They should be banned until they learn another tune.

Russia looked pretty bad vs Poland today.
Agreed that reffing was pretty mediocre. Dzagoev got a card for yapping his mouth, which was deserved, but a lot of plays went unpunished and some were straight up bs.
Also, home field advantage is huge in tournaments like these, so I'm somewhat content witht the result

Terms for troutman's glossary, who should put it in alphabetic order :
caution - yellow card
challenge - aerial battle for the ball or a tackle
finish - conversion of a play into a goal
form - fitness level of a player, current ability to perform at a high level
Serie A - Italian top flight league
La Liga - Spanish top flight league

Ballon d'Or - player of the year

IMO, that was the best refereed game of the tournament. No obvious missed calls either way.

It may have been addresses already but how is group A so terrible and group B so tough?

Every team in group B is better than the teams in group A.

Bento is starting Postiga tomorrow at striker again despite him being pretty awful versus Germany. So he told reporters at least.

Not a fan of this choice, I would like to see Almeida get a chance for 60 minutes to use his big lumbering body to advantage as I believe will be in Denmark's final third a lot tomorrow. Well, more than versus Germany's before the goal.

Ronaldo has to step up tomorrow. He just flat out has to and he needs players like Mountinho and Meireles to feed him the ball in stride and use that speed. He needs to win free kicks and he needs to take a few as well. Portugal didn't win one free kick in a dangerous area versus Germany.

9 hours away....the nerves are kicking in again.

it's based on the coefficient

40% of the average points per game, earned in the 2012 Euro qualifying stage.
40% of the average points per game, earned in the 2010 World Cup qualifying stage and final tournament.
20% of the average points per game, earned in the 2008 Euro qualifying stage and final tournament
