Leads me to wonder... how do you handle complaints about your reviews?
And +1 to reviewing Peter's, unless your hidden gem comes to fruition. Peter's wont rank near the top, but no Calgary burger review site is complete without it!
Going to give Naina's Kitchen a try thanks to your review.

Had another burger at 5 guys again. Just nothing to complain about. Tasty burger and excellent fries. Decent price overall as well.

We received some pretty hard-core hate mail from one review we did - frankly it almost seemed like the person must be connected somehow to the business.
Apart from that though, no real complaints.

i think your reviews should include a grade based on what happens when you ask for 14 sides of ranch.

I think this was for the the one along Crowchild. Tried to go there once, but the parking lot was full, and didn't feel like having to wait in line.

Ever been to a really bad Stampede lunch where they have that big stack of the cheapest patties money can buy, undercooked by students that haven't cooked anything other an Kraft Dinner in their lives, those cheap tiny little 24 packs of buns all squished from being used as a prop for the cooler, lettuce, onions, pickles that are soft and shiney from sitting out for hours in the sun, and no-name condiments? That's the level of CB's burgers.

You should really have comments enabled on your site so the rest of us can enjoy the hate mail.
Speaking of which, anybody want to start a spinoff website - pizza quest or steak quest? The difference will be, we will let the restaurants pay for our meals.

You should be able to leave comments under each review.

You're not going to get a true experience this way, at least not the average joe someone walking in to see how a typical food item at the restaurant tastes.

That's exactly the issue we wrestled with. In fact most places we hit between noon and 1 pm - so right at the lunch crush and it is interesting to see how quality standards slide. We had one server actually tell us that during lunch they undercook their fries to get them out quicker.

I think you are missing the point. He is not there for the true experience. He is there for the free meat.

Try the coconut/raspberry shake! I had one last night.
The double cheese burger is nothing special, but there is something tasty about that red sauce they slather the burgers in. Probably 90% ketchup.

Could we just send them a reimbursement request after?
Actually though, I think if I went to a restaurant, I would want the best they can muster up. So, basically free food, and its their best. Maybe not the most honest reviews but...

I don't know why Peter's gets so much disrespect. It's a good burger, but a bit on the pricey side for what it is. That would be my only complaint. Also wish the milkshakes came in different sizes. I can't drink that much quickly enough so that it doesn't become a soupy slurry.

I doubt that most reading this thread care, but Clive Burger does a decent veggie burger. It's a bigger patty than their meat patties, and fairly tasty - I found it similar to the Yves Garden Veggie patties you can buy.

I go to Peters for the shakes but I'll eat the burgers as I would even eat a CB burger if I was hungry and it was in front of me as I simply love hamburgers. However I can't ignore it's an extremely low quality beef patty smothered with BBQ sauce on a plain bun. Not a lot there to really love but it's kind of a landmark place so I accept it but there are far, far superior burgers to be had in the city.

Peter's isn't as good as its cheerleaders would say, and not as bad as its detractors say.
I would say the pros are the bun, a saucy pattie, and that its not greasy. I guess it depends on the mood you are in - sometimes you want Chef-Boyardee, and sometimes you want fettuccini carbonara.
