they are declaring that first nations and environmental groups are radicals and extremists. to me, this is reducing these groups from stakeholders and concerned citizens to trouble makers who's opinions and voice will be ignored.

No one made a blanket statement about all environmentalists, it had to do with ones that believe that there should be no development of any natural resources whatsoever.
