Excellent. I should be by the airport just in time.

Yup, very nice looking! Too bad it wasn't the other 744 in the "KLM Asia" titles, which is christened "City of Calgary". That would have been meta.

Edit: I guess "City of Calgary" is now changed back into regular KLM titles:

About airlines naming their individual aircraft, I quite like it. I wonder why Air Canada and WestJet haven't done it yet? I think it adds a nice touch.

I flew in the A380 from Montreal to Paris with Air France. Couldn't afford first class though.
It was huge and definitely quiet, but they had an issue with the door seal or something that delayed the plane by about 3 hours and I missed my connection and lost my bags. I will reserve judgement until such time as the plane gets me where I am going with my luggage.

I'm surprised they fly the A380 to Montreal.

I thought Canada's only A380 would be the sole Emirates flight to YYZ. Interesting..

It was reported a long time ago that Air France were gonna use the 380 between Montreal and Paris.

I think they did an Air France test flight between paris and montreal as well.

Yup, Montreal-Paris with the A380 was the first route into Canada that was pretty much confirmed. Emirates flies it to YYZ because they need to maximize how many seats they have in the market for the 3 flights a week they are allowed. I wonder if they would still use the 380 if they got their request of daily rights?

The KLM flight is a 744 again today, apparently these 744's being used are the combi models (have freight on the main deck) and they are using them to bring horses over for Spruce Meadows.

I think I saw that 727 take off yesterday. It was a dirty loud 727.

May have to go to airport again today.

I'm going to get my camera and get some pics of KLM today. I always like to catch a different 747 around these parts.

Depends which runway is active, looking at the TAF it could be a toss-up between 16 or 34 for the main active. Forecast is showing winds at arrival around 050 true.

According to the "experts" on airlines.net YUL-CDG route is extremely profitable for Air France, hence the A380.

Were the KLM 744 or 74M - if the M variant I wonder what they were hauling to Calgary.
