Really hard for me to get excited. I'm getting tired of Nintendo consoles fast becoming decorations that only get touched when dusting.

I'm a PS3 controller fan, I feel like the WiiU one would be so awkward with the dual sticks on the top

There isn't much for me to be excited about this year's E3. I am disappointed Nintendo has again elected to produce a console with dated hardware and more cheap gimmicks. Graphics aren't everything but it's hard to get me interested in their systems these days. It's going to take more than a new Zelda or Mario game to get me to buy the Wii:U. As for that controller, it looks uncomfortable. They copied everything except the most important part which is the joystick layout.
I am looking forward to seeing some more CoH 2, Mechwarrior Online and hopefully Aliens Colonial Marines. There is literally nothing for the 360 that has my interest this year. I've pretty much stopped buying games for my Xbox as most of them get released on PC where I can pick them up for a fraction of the price. It'll be interesting to see the new consoles but I doubt those will be shown at this year's event.

So stealth doesn't exist in Splinter Cell anymore? Splinter of Duty?

About time NHL GameCenter Live came to the 360. The PS3 app sucked so bad.

Way too much Kinect and non-video game stuff.
Half of this stuff is only available in the US anyway. I don't understand why Microsoft isn't showing games.
This is just awful. We only got 3 minutes of Halo 4 and now we're getting 30 minutes of this other nonsense.

Did you play Conviction? You "could" stealth in that game but it was way more effective to simply Jack Bauer your way through and shoot everything. An okay game but nothing close to classic Splinter Cell. Chaos Theory was the last great SC game. I miss the intensity of those games.

I played some of it, but didn't care for it because of the way the gameplay changed. They showed the new Splinter Cell: Blacklist on this live E3 feed and it looked like a 3rd-person CoD.
Microsoft is "proud" to announce Internet Explorer is coming to XBox. Yay . . .

I agree, it was like a completely different game. You don't need to be sprinting through areas shooting everything that moves to have an entertaining game. Some of my best gaming moments came from the earlier entries in the Splinter Cell series. Sneaking through the shadows hoping that you wouldn't be seen or slowly moving in to take a guy down as he made his patrol got my heart pumping and adrenaline racing. Guns were virtually useless in the other Splinter Cell games and the only thing I ever used them for was to launch sticky cams or shoot ring foils. Sad to see them ruining this franchise.

Any idea why I'd be streaming at 400 kbps on Shaw high speed? (Not torrenting or gaming, Steam isn't updating anything...)

Ok, I just watched the trailer for Blacklist and while it had some really cool moments that was absolutely not a trailer for a Splinter Cell game. I don't know what to think of it to be honest. It has some great looking gameplay that I think would have worked best in an entirely new IP. It simply doesn't make sense for Sam to all of a sudden be running through war zones blowing people away. You would never in a million years sprint out into the open to shoot at enemies in the other SC games. Also, no Ironside? WTF.

Just about every game I've seen on this e3 feed so far, except for the South Park RPG, looks like Uncharted or CoD.

The article you linked is 11 years old. I suppose it is still relevant though.
