I've been avoiding this thread because I really don't want to know much about the movie.

I saw some of the first shots released of the fight scene on the steps etc. and I'm just meh on spoilers for this movie.

Other movies, sure, gimme dem spoilahz, but with this movie, I know the spoilers won't mean jack in relation to the experience of the film, so now, I don't care.

Anyway, I do pay attention to things like trailers, and that trailer has me feeling all kinds of tingly-good. Should be a real thrill-ride with bane I think. This movie will likely be more more action packed, and, excuse the CAPSLOCK style pun, explosive.

ummm are you sure that's not a poster for the XXX Parady of Batman, which would be the coolest parady poster ever.

I doubt they leave it open for any sequels. Cant see Nolan wanting to work on the franchise anymore.

They had a short clip last night on the MTV Movie Awards. Can't wait!

As an aside, what a waste of 2 hours those were last night. I only watched to see the Dark Knight clip and of course it was in the last 10 minutes. I remember when the MTV Movie Awards were actually funny. Now its all Twilight and Hunger Games. They didn't even have a single movie parody this year. Brutal.

Thats one long ass run time. Hopefully its justifiable and not lots of filler. Still gonna be dead tired at work after that midnight show.

My god. With every Nolan movie they get longer and longer. I love the guy, but The Dark Knight was already 15-20 minutes too long and that was 2hr 20min long.

That's an epic run time, as long as it's good, no complaints.

Long run times are only an issue when there is empty space filled in.

I don't care if it 3 hrs or 3 days long, as long as its filled with awesome.

Advance tickets should go on sale Monday (the 11th) at Noon (Eastern?).

http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/06/0...rises-tickets/

Hopefully this means Cineplex will have them on sale as well.

I felt that The Dark Knight was too long simply because it felt as though it was wrapping up when the Joker was caught on the freeway. But then there is another hour devoted to re-catching him and dealing with Two Face. I always felt that Two Face was thrown away too quickly and he should have been saved as the villian for the third film.

For the longest time I was hoping they faked Dent's death and would have him as the villain for ths movie, but then since it's the last of the trilogy I think he would be a bit of a let down and that Bain is a better choice.

Agreed. There was a ton of speculation after the TDK that Dent was still alive because you can just barely see his chest moving in one shot. Bane has the potential to be a fantastic villain choice and I am definitely wondering if the movie will end with Bruce Wayne being paralized. I just hate when they kill off villians in comic films.

I think they made a mistake introducing and killing off Two-Face so quickly in TDK. I would have liked it much better if they setup Dent to have a tragic fall and then be the main villian in the 3rd film.

They should have an intermission in the theater 1950s style if they are going to have a nearly 3 hour long movie.

Little worried about that length because the last one dragged out.
