Heat win pretty easily 93-79 over Boston in game 1. James/Wade both continue to dominate.

Heat in 4. They didn't even play well, missed open shots and still destroyed the Celtics. Spurs Vs Heat is going to be an incredible NBA finals

The Celtics offense is such an abortion to watch. It's beyond painful. They could be in last place in a year or two if they don't rebuild on the fly.

When the Spurs play offensive basketball like they did in the third quarter last night, there isn't a team in the NBA that can stay within 15 points of them. Just some absolutely beautiful team basketball, a pleasure to watch really.

Hornets win the lottery. They will pick #1 in the draft and select Anthony Davis.

Indeed, who needs wrestling when Stern is running the show?

Boggles my mind when Canadian media try to put the NBA as something for the NHL to emulate. From the Donaghy scandal which taints a lot of key playoff wins, to the lack of parody, to the shady draft lottery's, stepping in to deny trades, the list goes on and on.

Bill Simmons ‏@sportsguy33 So happy the NBA gave me a lifetime of new conspiracy jokes. Move over MJ/gambling + Ewing/frozen envelope, there's a new sheriff in town!

Not a very good night for the NBA's credibility (what little it has).

David stern is a disgrace of a human being. What bull#### the league is. Miami doesn't deserve that win at all.

James is such a bitch, pulls up and misses a jumper vs rondo scared ####less he will have to shoot free throws.

Bill Simmons ‏@sportsguy33 You can't win 5 against 8. This game is one of the all-time jokes. I am so disgusted by this game and the league as a whole.

That was one of the worst officiated games I've seen - and I have seen a few Laker game 7s

This was the worst officiated game since Game 6, 2002, Kings-Lakers.

I love Simmons but his whining about the refs after every Bostin game is getting tiring.

Miami is the better team, so even without the poor officiating they would win this series. I like Rondo, and Garnett is doing what he can, but they just don't have the right matchups to stop James or Wade.

The real test for them will be the Spurs, who should conceivably sweep the Heat (or win running away). Once Rose went down the writing was on the wall for the Heat to easily make it to the final.

And yeah I don't know what is up with the Hornets winning the draft; it seems the teams on life-support or with ownership issues win this thing far too often. Stern just doing Benson a favor for buying the Hornets in the first place. It was probably one of the things agreed upon before Benson agreed to buy the team; adding Davis next year should equate to huge revenue even if they still miss the playoffs.

Lots of time it's just being a homer, but tonight he had every right to be. I'm impartial on either team winning and I thought it was a disgrace how awful the reffing was tonight. Still blows my mind that they missed that foul on Rondo with under 2 minutes left

I wish I could say the league is going to get better when Stern leaves, but I'm guessing he's got a hand picked crony waiting in the wings. This is why I don't choose to have a favorite basketball team, because what would be the point? Unless your team is a favorite of the commish's office and can drive TV ratings you basically have no chance in hell. How is it that Miami can take 26 three pointers and still get to the line 47 times? When a team shoots a lot of outside jumpers, there are no fouls. So basically almost every time Miami went inside they got a call. Miami fans can feign ignorance all they want, but true basketball fans know they aren't watching legitimate competition. Its why we love the NCAA tournament so much.

Yep tonight wasn't great but it is far from the first time he has bitched and the Celtics have been on the positive side of bad reffing as my h if not more than any team during their current run of the past 4-5 years.
