Still no sound. Might not do the annotations this time since they took quite a while to do and see about doing some audio commentary instead.

Rei's Minimap - a client mod. One of 3 that I use. The other 2 being Optifine and Minecraft Macro

Forgot to turn it off. I noticed at about an hour in and turned it off then.

Hey Rathji, I don't know how you set up the Ultra Hardcore bit on your server but I stumbled across the mod used by the MindCrack fellas.

I believe this also adds the hearts graphic to see other player's health.

I'm sure you've investigated this yourself, however if not I hope it helps streamline things.

EDIT: downside of this would be that each player would also need to install the mod on their computer...

That's the one I use. The hearts showing up is part of the client side mod.

What about some king of mod that would allow us to fly around completely invisible once we've been eliminated? I'm pretty sure I've seen something like this on some other minecraft videos.

It would be fun to be able to follow the remaining players, but I wouldn't want something that could potentially give away an active player's location.

Fly is certainly possible, vanish should be as well, but I will have to find a plugin that does it, since the one I used to use is no longer supported.

Server should be able to handle it, since it wouldn't stress connection much more than just being online and fly just used CPU power, which we have a ton of.

I installed the hardcore mod on my client and got it working in single player.

When I try to connect to your server I get an error: "Internal exception: Java.io.IOException:bad packet id 15". Updated Java to the latest version and I get a different error: "Internal exception: java.io.IOException: Received string length longer than maximum allowed (28935 > 256)"

Not sure if this is a server or client side issue. Any thoughts?

That's the same error I got, and decided having heart symbols wasn't worth getting it working.

We're out of town right now so Tuesday at the earliest. I wouldn't worry about waiting for her to upload.

Also, Happy is good to go for Wednesday as well.
