Default Robin Gibb has passed away

It has just been announced that Robin Gibb has died.

IIRC he surprisingly came out from a coma around a month ago and was really battling cancer hard. The guy had some fight in him.

Damn, that's too bad. I thought he was doing better. It's been a rough few weeks for music.

So much for "Stayin' Alive."

But serious, that sucks. I thought he was doing better, too. RIP.

Our family knows (knew, I suppose now) the Gibb family. Andy, Mo and Robin all gone. I can't believe it. Such lovely people and a very close knit family. My deepest sympathies for Barry.

No. My parents (mother and step father) had a very successful catering business. We met Maurice Gibb first and catered his New Year's Eve party for about twenty years. They lived up the road from my parents (in Esher, Surrey) and a friendship developed. We all spent many hours with the family. Mum and Dad were Maurice's guests when the Bee Gees were on 'This is Your Life'. Just a lovely family. So down to earth and genuine.
