Sabastian Collberg? Forgive my ignorance, but he played 41 games for Frolunda of the Elite League and had NO points. Is this an error because that doesn't sound like much skill to me.

**warning** I am not a minor hockey expert. I watch a fair amount being here in Kamloops, but I didn't see anything special in Tyler Myers when I saw him and clearly I was wrong
Having said that, Griffen Reinhart looked slow and ineffective in the game I watched. I saw Pouliot last night and he was sick! He literally made the Blazers crowd scared EVERY time he touched the puck. He is great at keeping possession and his up ice vision seemed crazy good. He was by far the most effective defenceman in his own end too. If there is a hole to his game it was that he wasn't overly physical, though he was strong around the boards. The most interesting part of his game was his ability to rush the puck and stay up with the play. He often had the forwards covering for him and was getting great scoring opportunities. He scored the second nicest goal I've seen in that building. He went coast to coast and every Blazers player challenged him and in the end he was in alone and scored five hole, unassisted. I haven't followed a lot the others (Bozon is meh), but I would be thrilled with Pouliot

Seeing a Swede as our 1st round draft pick makes me nervous but thanks for mock draft. I appreciate you keeping us up to date.

Frolunda isn't exactly known for giving rookies much chance to play. Their biggest players are mostly 26+. Collberg isn't strong enough yet to compete with them and is on a 6-10 minute night. The only place they are young at the moment is in the net, where they have two goalies of a combined age of 43.
From what I've seen, he's getting chances on net even with his limited ice time...but he's just not converting yet. Needs to get bigger and faster, but the points will follow if he can.
I would prefer if we could end up with Teravainen or Faksa, but if Collberg is the best available forward at the time and the D are getting cleaned out, take him.

I'd rather have Pouliot if he's available since Collberg, I think, is a big question mark.

For those looking at Collberg's Eliteserien stats, look instead at his Superelit stats of nine goals and 17 points in 21 games, as well as his seven points in six games at the World Juniors.
Only Max Friberg had more points for Sweden at the World Juniors, which includes top-5 pick Filip Forsberg and Ottawa Senators first rounder Mika Zibanejad.

Was Collberg the one who got booed off the ice in Calgary after riding his stick after the shootout goal against the Swiss or was that Friberg?

Thanks for posting those FCAV.
I'm pretty interested in Flames picking up a kid like Kulak, but as the Herasymiuk noted, his lack of physicality is a weakness. This draft, I really want the Flames to go after a mean, physical defenseman with a very solid defensive game (i.e., Robyn Regehr). However, Kulak is definitely a kid that falls right around that #75 3rd rounder the Flames have.
Kevin Roy is also pretty interesting. Seems like an unmotivated kid with skill for days. Actually, it's not that he's unmotivated, it's that he doesn't want to come back and play defense. I think under a big time motivator like Ward, Roy might learn to play a whole game instead of half a game.
Also, I never heard of Phillip Tot before, but he definitely sounds like the type of player the Flames organization needs.
Great writeup from all your people at Future Considerations.

Anyone who's really interested in the draft would be smart to pick up the FC Draft Guide. It's very well-written, well-designed and has a TON of detailed information about a whole lot of prospects. Money very well spent.
