And I personally hope they dont. As much as I like Kenny, this season has been an unmitigated disaster. Starting with his summer purchases and ending with his dismal home record.

Yeah, that's it. He didn't have enough support. Anyways, I hope he stays .... all class.

Reporter: "Kenny, do you still have a job at Liverpool?"

KD: "You tell me. I'm not the one with all the answers."

Reporter: "Where did it all go wrong Kenny?"

KD: "Did it all go wrong? I wasn't aware of that. But I suppose you'd know more than me eh?"

And it's official now, Dalglish is out. Fans on the forums are pretty angry, and most of them seem to want Rafa back.

You keep saying that, and I guess after all, a United fan must know all about it right?

Re: Kenny, I am a little surprised that he's gone but I've read that he praised how FSG handled it. This just adds another key decision for them to make in the offseason though. There's a lot of empty places, especially since Steve Clarke stepped down with Kenny.

I was a big fan of Clark and was hoping he'd stay, but the writing was on the wall for Kenny. I dont know what happened, the guy who came in last season and elicited some amazing performances just wasnt the guy that they hired.

This was one of Liverpool's worst seasons ever despite having spent considerable money. Someone has to account for that.

And I'd welcome Benitez back and I think he'd take the job under a new ownership group, so I feel that that is a distinct possibility.

I would be wary of Martinez, his teams are always good at the end of the year to stave of relegation, but their form in the first 7-8 months is why they are there

in terms of young managers with a lot of promise I would go Rodgers or Lambert ahead of Martinez

Favorites seem to be Klopp, Deschamps, and AVB though

I hope Benitez is in the mix too. Wouldnt mind Klopp though.

David Gill giving false hopes earlier today, saying United can compete with City's spending.

I'd love to have both Kagawa, AND Hazard..

I think Hazard to City is pretty much done

the 3 Dortmund players are more likely for United

Oh agreed. Last time we went on a few months worth of results, we ended up paying 20 million quid for Stewart Downing (meanwhile the Mancs get Ashley Young for 16 or so, who had a much more consistent reputation)

I'd love to have Rafa back. He did well until he had to make net gains in the transfer market i thought. Otherwise, Villas Boas wouldn't be bad I'd say. Or Pep Guardiola (yeah, I know how likely that is!)

Van Persie talks not going well.

Quote:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger failed to come to a resolution with striker Robin van Persie about his future after face-to-face talks on Wednesday, according to widespread reports in the English media.

Van Persie and Wenger finally met on Wednesday to discuss the forward's long-term future at the club, as the 37-goal striker revealed his concerns about the Gunners' inability to challenge for major trophies. The north London club finished third in the Premier League this season, 19 points off champions City.

Wenger reportedly told his striker that the recent signing of Lukas Podolski - along with further summer acquisitions - should put the club in a far better position to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League next season, but this seemingly could not convince the former Feyenoord man to commit his future to the club.

Money could ultimately be crucial to keeping Van Persie. The Arsenal captain has reportedly been offered around £130,000-a-week to stay at the club, but it remains to be seen if that is enough to persuade him not to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri and head for pastures new in search of trophies.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...adlock?cc=5901

They're only offering £130k/week? That seems fairly low for the Premier League's top scorer. Most people speculate that Wayne Rooney makes £100k/week more than that and lord only knows what some of the City strikers make.
