Well I'm off to bed. I've been through enough Blizzard launches to know that it's going to be like this all night. Even if I do get in, there's going to be server restarts and loot lag and connection drops, etc etc etc.

Bashiok was talking about Inferno mode and said when his developers thought it was tough enough, they said OK, and then doubled the difficulty.
Perhaps when they found the optimal server levels during the open beta, they might have thought, OK, then multiplied it by 1000.
