I'm not sure why they announced it as Sven. It was actually the other Flames prospect, Wotherspoon who got the assist.
Midnight flight tonight from Portland. Assuming it's about a 2.5 hour flight, that means they'll get into Nisku around 3:30, and to their hotel around 4:30 or 5:00am in Edmonton. There probably won't be a lot of sleep had for either team tonight.

Lots of respect to Brossoit for participating in the post-game press conference. Not a lot of goalies would do that after a loss like that.

Also liked how he said he needed to make the save. Good on the kid. Really like his attitude and his play has been tremendous.
Really looking forward to the game tomorrow night. Will be nice to see a flames prospect winning the championship in person.

I'm really intrigued by Mike Johnston as a potential coach for the Flames.
It's clear Iggy does not want to play a defensive style and Johnston has pretty offensively inclined system.
Would also help your star prospect feel more comfortable with a coach he's familiar with.

I'm not going to go into the Iginla vs Defence debate again, but there's a lot more to Johnston than offence. The players on his team are offensively gifted, so he nourishes it.
But he's a great manager as well. I'd love for the Flames to find a position anywhere in the organization. He'd be a huge asset for any team. He basicially is the Portland Winterhawks.
