Close games, too bad it seems like Edmonton are always catching the breaks.

If Portland had Brossoit, they'd be unstoppable.

Can you imagine how great a team would be if they had both Baertschi and Brossoit?

The Oil Kings coach singled out Sven's great play last post-game, and now the Oil Kings captain does.

Sven is ridiculous. High expectations aside, he's going to be a pretty special player for Calgary in the future

I don't know what to think about Carruth.

Overall, he's been solid. Rarely has he been needed to make that huge save.

But that's really the difference in this series. Brossoit has been able to make that Kipper-esque save that he has no business of stopping and giving his team life. Right after Edmonton's 3rd goal, Portland came back seconds later with a shot that would have been a sure goal on Carruth, but with Brossoit in net, he stopped it, and the Oil Kings dominated for the rest of the period.

You just can't let the shot in with under a minute left. I find myself caring as much for the Portland team almost as much as I do for the Flames. It hurts. Just like the Getzlaf goal early on in March. I hate it. Very bummed about this loss.

I hope they can take it to 7. This is a series I really don't want to end. The WHL playoffs have been pretty meh until this series, but it has been unreal.

It's not all bad. One of our prospects playing an important role on their team will be headed to the Memorial Cup. I just want it to be Sven... Brossoit will have another great opportunity to do it next season.

That's exactly how I feel. Imagine how pumped up Sven will be coming into training camp with a Memorial Cup or even a WHL championship under his belt

The Portland and Kamloops second round series was most definitely not meh.
