Sugar Look Back at 20 Years of 'If I Can't Change Your Mind'

http://www.spin.com/articles/sugar-l...ange-your-mind

The '90s alt-rock boom never would've been possible without the '80s groundwork laid by Bob Mould: Here's the story of his victory lap

Even more intriguing, though, is Mould's album due this fall on Merge Records, with Narducy and Wurster, made very much in
Copper Blue's image.

It's been almost 5 years since I got to say this but Holly McNarland's new album Run Body Run is coming out on May 15 via iTunes. There are physical cd's that I believe she will be selling through her website starting in June.

This pleases me. Just waiting for the download on the polyvinyl website to activate. Got the vinyl/t-shirt pack pre ordered.

First song is a little concerning imo, then again the best part of Post Nothing was finding out about No Singles so hopefully they have a similar follow up to this album also.

Didn't know where else to put this but thought it was a good article.

There's a lot to say about the best rock record of the new millennium, but too few people talk about what it actually said. When it turned 10 last week, the appreciations for Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot largely focused on the trivia surrounding it: the way it was rejected by one Warner Bros. subsidiary only to be bought by another; the fact that it was streamed online at a time when doing so was unheard of; the acclaimed documentary about its creation; and the spookiness of the fact that its songs—replete with references to falling buildings, charred flags, and nameless dread—were originally set for a Sept. 11, 2001 release.

Interesting article. As much as YHF put Wilco on the map, it's easily my least favorite Wilco Album. I have no idea why. Maybe I need to give it another listen.

And why do bands stream? The first 30 minutes of Bloom and I am sold. Already the best album I have heard this year and I am only half way through. What a voice!

New Silversun Pickups is out today. So far no totally feeling it like I was for their previous albums, but I will keep going in hopes of a slow burn.

Hello all!

Finally the day (night) has arrived where we release our first self recorded project for FREE download!!! Original Copy is a concept of sorts and is a result of teaching ourselves the recording process over the last 4 years since our debut album Multiply back in 08. We will now start working on our next effort but for now enjoy Original Copy and share it!!

Cheers,
Heavy Jack

Lots of John Mayer fans on here, right? Right? Anyone?

New album just out called Born and Raised. I like it (obviously).

Title track with Crosby and Nash.

I realize announcing an enjoyment of John Mayer isn't exactly a steroid injection to your street cred, but this album is pretty good. Walt Grace's Submarine Test, January 1967 is a fantastic tune.
