Skyview.

Point your ipad at the sky and see which star, planet or satelite you are looking at.

Are you talking about Sky Safari? I can't find Skyview.

An update from my all-time favourite games list - it was point out to me that Bard's Tale 1 and 2 *ARE* available in the App Store. I hope they add 3. I loved going through time and casting fireballs at Nazi's.

Yep. They are included with the newish version of Bard's Tale as a free update to the game. That update also fixes the problem the game had with working on the new iPad.

If you get tapatalk get the HD version even though it's a couple bucks more but the pictures and quality seem better. I made the mistake of downloading the first thing I saw instead of looking...

However I can't figure out how to stay logged in...anyone know how I can set it up where I don't have to log in every time I enter the app?

What apps does everyone recommend using for business? I'm specifically looking for an app to use excel and possibly a word processor/notepad.

Wife uses Numbers and Pages because it syncs with icloud, but there is also a Microsoft Office iPad version of Word and Excel.

edit: apparently no MS office yet, but soon

Pocket (http://getpocket.com/)

Have been using this for a while, used to be called Read-it-Later, but the new version has really been re-vamped. I really like the iPad version. It is similar to Instapaper, but I think it has a few more features

Apparently I have lost my mind.

When I was researching it for the wife, I could have sworn I saw something from MS, but it might have just been this.

Although looking it up, apparently there is a version due out soon.

edit: Judging from the comments on that app - many other people thought the same thing and bought the guide thinking it was a MS Office app, not a guide.

There is an app called CloudOn that lets you edit Word and Excel docs. You connect to a virtual machine running a copy of Office, but Microsoft is arguing that this isn't a valid use of the license so they might not be around long.

I can't see how that wouldn't be violating the terms of the license.

It does work reasonably well for now, though.

TuneIn Radio (http://tunein.com/) is the best $1 I have ever spent. Gives you access to almost any radio station around the world, even gives you a goggle map so you can zoom in to certain ountries or cities. Also allows you to record shows, you can do it manually or with timers if you have a show you like.

Also has a free-version that doesn't allow recording I believe, but the Pro version is well worth it!

Ya didn't realize that. I love that you can pause and rewind live radio too. I use the sleep timer every night and now use this as an alarm. I love being able to surf the map and just select random stations found some pretty good ones, Comedy104 has to be my favorite right now. And being able to listen to police radio can be interesting if you find the right city and situation.

Do you need an internet connection for this to work properly?
