I am currently on W7, but I will look into this. Don't see why there would be an issue as the USB port should automatically override the Sound settings of the soundcard/speakers. The Logitech G35 has a built in soundcard.
I think the crux of the problem is in XP when you select the G35 as the mixing device there isn't an input for "what you hear", only an input microphone, so it was not possible to mix in the game sounds.
I think where XP and 7 differ is that 7 allows mixing audio from more than one sound card. I have not confirmed this but seen a few oblique mentions of it on some forums.

Here's a few minutes following my computer crashing. Feel free to embed this in your ongoing thread, Aegypticus. The rest of mine are coming along. Round 2 is uploaded/uploading as we speak, since that one didn't have any crashing or audio problems. Here's what I'm calling Part 1.5 of Round 1.
This will be his Creative 50 player server he is just starting up.
Congrats to you aeg especially getting in when there were over 700 submissions. Sadly I had basically deleted everything nice I made so I was unable to submit
Thought I would post the 1080p video. It is quite a bit better quality than the others but at almost 9GB for 7 minutes, I am not sure my disk space could sustain that for a few hours playing UHC.

Yeah I played around with the 1080p settings for a bit, but decided quite quickly that it might be unrealistic at this time for me. The rendering and uploading time is just crazy long and really the only way that 1080p looks really neat is when streaming to your TV. It still took me about 5 hours total time for upload/rendering/processing for my 32 minute LP in 720p today.
We're gearing up on the creative server to do a very large scale creative build. It will be filmed in time-lapse for sure, and I imagine there will be other live perspectives. I'm sworn to secrecy on what we're doing, but I expect we'll be able to see some things in the next couple weeks.
I guess I've made myself stand out so far because they've asked me to lead one of the building teams. Should be a lot of fun.
If someone asked me if I'd rather repeatedly slam my hand in the car door or play something from the Halo series on an Xbox, I'd have to really think about it... and I'd probably go with the door.
My answer was incredibly popular and opened up the world of first person shooters to an entirely new demographic of gamers, but sure, as a former PC gamer/FPS fan myself, I can appreciate that FPS games are still way better on PC.
That doesn't change the fact that the CoD franchise wouldn't be as wildly popular as it is if it weren't for the console versions. Console version of Minecraft would open up the game to a new demographic... hell, it might get me to try it, if only because I suspect the PC version will get me absolutely addicted.
Just Uploaded a new video for anyone that has been watching. This will be the last post I do here as I don't want to waste your guys' time with something if you are not interested.
Today we find and work on the Skeleton and Spider Spawner we found and put them to good use for grinding experience. We also take a look through the base area and I update you on other items that I have improved or changed.
I especially like the work I have done on the Spider Spawner as not many youtubers have used this spawner to grind experience.
