What's the point of calling Boston the 4 seed? They don't have home court advantage. It's a pretty dumb thing. Does it affect anything at all?

Yes going with the big Knicks upset, but I think they match up well with Miami, especially with Chandler in the middle. And I trust Melo way more than LeBron at the end of the game.

Boston won their division, but Indiana had a better record then they did in another division, so the NBA wisely seeds on record now for the top 4. A division champ can only fall to the 4 seed, and even though the Celts are the 4 seed, because Atlanta has the better record and tiebreaker, they get homecourt.

I know the rule it's just silly. I like that the team with the better record gets the better seed, however why even bothering calling the division winner the 4th seed when it means absolutely nothing? Is it a self esteem booster? That's the point I am making, just make them the 5 seed. They are grown ups they can handle it.

Haha I agree its silly, the NBA is just abiding by the technicality of the rule. I'm guessing Atlanta could care less about the seed, just that they have one more playoff game at home.

What a damn shame that Derrick Rose season is over.

I am surprised that so many are picking NY over Miami.

Is it just the irrational hate people have for Miami?

It seems like a terrible match-up for NY as they have nobody who can guard Lebron or Wade, play an up-tempo style that Miami is far better than anybody else at and with their 0 defense Lebron gets easy buckets at the end that even he won't screw up.

Lol Miami is anything but a up tempo team.

You're right Lebron and Wade are horrible in an up tempo game.

The last thing that Miami wants is Lebron with the ball in the open court. There is about zero percent chance he finishes in that situation. Much better for them to slow the game down and pound it inside to their offensive studs in the block.

They are a defensive team.

Losing Rose hurts but they should still make the conference finals. They actually are a little better offensively in terms of efficiency without Rose, which makes sense because he dominates the ball so much and frankly is way too selfish with shot selection. Still I agree with blaming this on the compressed schedule. I wonder who else might get hurt on the way to the Finals.

Also the Miami game yesterday was so brutally officiated. Not why New York lost, but at one point the FT advantage was something like 33-7 Miami. And LeBron had a few awesome flops yesterday that would make Kesler proud. The "flagrant" on Chandler was embarassing.

Did LeBron James do these in Clevland too? Did he just start to do in it Miami to go along with his clown act? I've watched quite a few Miami Heat games since he has been there and he tends to flop a lot. Was Jeff Van Gundy calling the game? As much as I think Jeff Van Gundy is obnoxious and if he was calling the game, I'm really upset because Jeff Van Gundy likes to go off on players flopping. I find it rather amusing and funny when he does.

Awesome. Didn't realize playing good defense meant you couldn't play up tempo style of game.

With the turnovers they generate with the defense they are great at running out and getting the easy basketballs in the open court. If they play a slow down half court game they will likely lose as that is not playing to their strengths. With the way NY is so sloppy with the ball and bad shots they take Miami will kill them with easy transition baskets.

Lebron hasn't flopped that much in Miami so likely not that much, if any, more than he did in Cleveland. I think it likely has to do more that anything that look remotely like a flop he is going to get killed for by the haters.

I didn't see a ton of flopping or bad calls in yesterdays game. FT disparity had a lot to do with one team being good and forcing other team to foul and the other team being the pathetic Knicks.

Nope Lebron is a flopper. You can argue any which way you want. You must be on his nuts.... Evidence below:

And I can't find the one where he almost gets elbowed in the face and acts like he does, but on the review you can clearly see he isn't touched. Miami flops like no other. Just want to point out a lot of hall of fame players do it. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Dirk, Pierce, etc... Lebron is the best in the game, though, I just wish he didn't.
