The "correction" is $22. Have to pay that. No chance to save here.

Here is what will likely happen. To transfer a plate from one vehicle to another is simple... it cost $22.45, Now if you add your wife it is an additional $22.45. You can only do this if you are permanently transfering the plate. Very simple process. You should ask the finance manager where you bought the vehicle from to do it for you.
I was a finance manager for 6 years and used to do this all the time.

Yah, we're probably going to do it all in one shot. My renewal is in July, so might as well do it now.

hmmmm how come when you change your address and renew they don't charge the extra $22.45. I am pretty sure it works the same in this situation, although I have always worked with AMA on this so maybe they do it better.

Whatever you want to name it. My point still stands though. When you renew, and change addresses, that's all you're doing. There's no correction or name change. Hence why there's no $22 fee for an address change. Still the same (and correct) owner. Just a new address.

Not likely...they want to charge me $25 for the convenience of them doing it for me. No thanks. I'll go to the registry by my place, which is never busy, and wait the 2 minutes in line.
