Agreed.
I remember getting ready to be defeated by Germany in PK's in the 2006 World when Italy decided they should have 4 strikers (Totti, Del Piero, Iaquinta, Gilardino) on the field in order to go after the win.
Luckily that move paid off and they avoided PKs.

I bet that Ronaldo misses the decisive PK today.
Just seems to be a trend in CL history that a star will miss a key penalty that could change the game.

The rules seems so unfair though..
A striker runs into the penalty area and dives.. the worst he can get is a yellow card.. at this stage so what?
But if the ref misses it and gives a penalty, the game is over. There is too much incentive to dive because of the imbalance in reward vs punishment.
