Default Taking a dump

So we just rebuilt a our backyard deck, and are looking for someone to take away the pile of wood scrap from the old one. We called out 1-800-Got Junk for an estimate, and they wanted $500....which seems grossly excessive to me.

Renting a container, will cost almost $400 bucks.

Any ideas for a cheaper solution? We could haul it out ourselves, but it would probably take several trips to the dump, so I'm curious if there's a quicker solution.

Look in the classifieds or Kijjiji. There's lots of guys with dump trucks for hire.

Bagster is only $220 for bag and pickup service - doesnt seem overly bad if you dont have a truck and cant take it to the dump yourself. Might be cheaper to rent cargo van and fill it.

Just priced it online with my postal code. $178.45 for the first bag and $89.22 for each additional one.

Do you get the bag back? Seems like it would be handy to keep for trips to Costco.

WM keeps the bag after they pick it up from you.

So they can resell it again for $40 bucks I'm sure. Those sneaky business-savy #######s.

I used bagster last summer for some big renos and it worked great. The only downside is that I don't have a driveway so I killed a nice big patch of my lawn in the process.

They are. I kept some of the small(er) landscaping rock bags for dump runs. If you need some my local recycling depot had a bin full of them.
