Looks like it's unassisted. He forced the turnover and kept it on the 2-on-1.

If it ever came down to Mike Johnston or Troy......the former has a lot more credentials.

Ha, Pouliot's nickname is "Pooh Bear". Now, I really hope the Flames draft him.

Pouliot with an assist on every Portland goal. No points for Sven.
In addition to the current Flames' prospects, I hope the WHL Final is Portland-Edmonton because I want to see Reinhart and Pouliot, since one of them is likely to be the BPA when the Flames draft.

Pouliot> Reinhart. Pouliot has really impressed me like no other player I've seen live (I want impressed with Tyler Myers, so maybe I don't know anything). Reinhart seemed slow and disinterested. He didn't seem like he ever knew where to play the puck. Kinda ogre-ish on the ice.
Pouliot on the other hand...wooot. Pleeeeeeeease draft him Jay!

Flames could really use a quarterbacking, offensive defenceman in the system...

Reinhart is a lot about the projection. He's got all the tools, but doesn't apply them to complete effectiveness yet. He won't look as good for where he's rated.
It's all about what the Flames need IMO. They both appear to have #2/#3 upside (Advantage Reinhart if he can learn to do everything well). Pouliot is a lot like Brian Campbell while Reinhart plays similar to Hamhuis.

Game 2 of the Oil Kings - Warriors series is underway.
It's 1-0 Edmonton after the first (sounds like the Oil Kings use the same goal song as the Flames - weird).
Brossoit made a great save on a Warriors 3-on-2 where he basically did a full splits (like the kid in that HHOF commercial).
Good looking crowd at Rexall...well, good sized crowd, they're in Edmonton, so it's not good looking.

Brossoit really kept Edmonton in the game early. It was all MJ the first 5 minutes.

COOL STORY BROSSOIT!!!
Those were some Kipper-esque saves there. Shots are 16-1 in the second for Moose Jaw (not even halfway through).

MJ finally scores with their 32nd shot on goal. Brossoit couldn't do much because he was doing everything else.

3-1 Oil Kings after 2. Spectacular second period performance for Brossoit.

My god he is crazy, 47/48 saves, oil kings only have 28 shots at this point as well! How exciting, hope to see him at another rookie tournament later in the year.

6-1 final.
It's not often you see the goalie be the first star in a 6-1 win, but things would have been a lot different if Brossoit didn't stand on his head in the second.

Was at the game and Brossoit was just amazing. Been to about 12-15 OK games and he just keeps getting better and better. He has really been good all playoffs, but tonight he was just outstanding. Really impressed with him.

Is Brossoit eligible for the World Juniors next year? Or is he too old?

I believe you are eligible for the World Juniors for the year in which you turn 20 (i.e. next year is the 2013 Tournament - even though it starts in 2012 - so any player born in calendar year 1993 is eligible).
His birthday is March 23, 1993, so he should be good.

Not our prospect talk, but I see that the Winterhawks traded for the rights to Seth Jones.
If he chooses the WHL next season, Portland is going to have a hell of a team again. Kid is unreal. Saw him at the U18s and he was by far the best player on the ice. He's getting comparisons to Pronger.
If there ever was a year to tank, it's the 2013 draft... Can't go wrong with MacKinnon or Jones.
