It's amazing how a little thing like jacking off in public can hurt your organizations credibility.

And yet celebrities make a sex tape and suddenly hordes of fans are lining up to drink their bath water.

I saw one half hanging off a light post here and took pleasure ripping it down and tossing it in the trash...
Only saw a few 'real' Kony 2012 signs, and then a few more hand made ones.
Pretty laughable.

Not that I think that the Kony thing is worth much, but why did it give you pleasure to throw it in the garbage? I saw a couple and I didn't think twice about it, I don't think that I cared enough to destroy the poster.

Oh hey! This 1889 memorial to the victims of the Boston Massacre looks like a good spot for Kony 2012!

In an instructional video for last night's event, Jedidiah Jenkins, Invisible Children's director of ideology, said, "We want the whole world to unite so that people who think that this generation is full of slacktavists and self-centred social media junkies. It's like, 'actually you got us dead wrong.' We want to earn the right to be heard globally by serving locally."
LOL, they sure dispelled that myth. LOL, facebook activism, get real.

Because slacktivism is ridicoulous.
Pasting a bunch of posters is going to do nothing, aside from waste paper, and spread trash all over the city.
Also, in the original post, I noted it was hanging off the light post...should I have just let it fall off naturally?

I saw a couple of Vote Kony 2012 posters, but he wasn't on the ballot here in Calgary West.

driving home from a movie the other night and saw a group of teens writing "kony 2012" on Lethbridge's brand new fire hall.

Called the cops and went across the street to Tim Hortons to watch with a smug grin on my face. Little #######s

Than this happened....

http://gawker.com/it-worked-infamous...ium=socialflow

Quote:
The Central African Republic announced yesterday it had entered surrender talks with Kony, leader of the brutal Lord's Resistance Army who was the subject of a widely shared (and ridiculed) "slacktivism" campaign last year.
Quote:
Meanwhile, American officials maintain a "we'll believe it when we see it" attitude toward the CAR's claims, saying any talks with Kony are likely yet another pretext "to rest, regroup and rearm, ultimately returning to kidnapping, killing, displacing and otherwise abusing civilian populations."

The BBC's Africa security correspondent Moses Rono, however, believes Kony may be desperate to surrender due to his failing health and the near-anarchy that reign in the CAR, which makes it that much easier for armed groups to seize him in hopes of getting their hands on a hefty reward.

The US has placed a $5 million bounty on Kony's head, and he is also wanted by International Criminal Court to face countless war crime charges.
