If I had time I would link to a story that is quite dramatic and nearly unbelievable story about a lake in Cameroon I believe that had a thermal inversion that flipped, belching a huge toxic cloud of CO2 that swept down the valley and killed every living thing, including a village in that valley. An amazing story that I haven't been able to forget. So these things do happen, but the circumstances needed are very specific.

My God, there have to be a TON of people upset at the thousands of Hitler parody videos from the Downfall movie.
Hell, there are 15,100 results when you search on Youtube just for the words "Hitler Downfall" alone.
I've seen it before, don't appreciate the nazi comparison though, kinda offensive.
I'd never seen it before but I thought it was so "over the top" it was kind of funny. And I'm a WR supporter.
Something I could see the PC's wanting to produce, what with all the fear-mongering they've been doing lately... but they never would because its such an exageration its almost ridiculous and the backlash against them would be enormous.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if some fence-sitters have been swayed by this video... and of course with a lot of die-hard anti-WR people it probably reinforces their opinion of the WR.

The PC party probably bought them. I doub't Ric would spend much of his own money on it.
I went for a walk, and my first impression was overstated. There are a bunch of new Ric signs though, and most Anderson signs on the south side of 130th were stolen - there appears to be just one left that I could see.
Those are no better. When you have to start making comparisons to nazi's you have lost the argument. Anyway, this isn't worth arguing about.

The scene works for anything involving a meltdown or perceived meltdown over a major debacle. Thats what makes it funny. Because its the end for Hitler and the Nazis its not gloryfying them in anyway, more like mocking them.

I think a Downfall parody video about the collapse of the PC Party (assuming they lose on Monday) would be ripe for comedy.

I know where you are coming from but I really think you're naive if you believe that all those who see this video will understand your point.
I'm sure a lot of people will associate the policies of the WR party with those of the Nazis, after watching the video... and it will scare them.
This may or may not have been the video maker's purpose. I don't know as I don't know anything about him/her or what his or her political persuasion is.
So, at some point in the last 24 hours, one of Ric McIver's people came by and planted at least 20 NEW signs on 130th Avenue between Deerfoot and 52 Street. They are literally spaced 2-3 feet apart all the way up the road now.
At the same time (Ooh, what a coincidence!), somebody stole every single Wayne Anderson/Wildrose sign.
I actually laughed, because this represents the PC's to a tee: Spend and self-promote to a totally excessive level while simultaneously seeking to silence any opposition.
Same thing right by my house...a whole string of PC signs appeared overnight spaced very close up the road, in this case the Wildrose signs were not stolen though, just squished flat.
Thanks for the comments from this aft! It was pretty cool and enjoyable. It goes by really fast and its hard to get airtime without being overbearing. Good group though and overall I enjoyed it. Nezt time we should try to rig it and get Resolute or First Lady to come in....although we might be there until midnight!
Little disappointed that no one commented on my Conservative Rose Alliance Party amounting to voters realizing this was the same CRAP but different election comment. Then again I probably thought it was funnier than it actually was!
