Default Hosting the Beer Olympics...Events Needed:

Ok, for the 4th year in a row, we are throwing a big party to celebrate my day of birth, and for the 4th year, it wil be known as the beer Olympics. Every year, it has been bigger and better.

Events that we have:
Boat Race
Can Toss - Sitting in a chair tossing cans across the room, last one being the 'Money shot'. Think 3-pt. compition, but only one rack.
Beer Chugging - Usually we just time all competitiors, but I think we might make brackets for this, this year. make it last all night.
Beer Jeopardy - Teams of 4. I make up the catagories and questions. Any suggestions for catagories or questions?

We are having kegs of beers this year. $10 a head gets you a glass...should be good times, but I want a new event or two.

Any suggestions for good beer Olympic Events? Also, if anyone has the 1988 Calgary Olympics Theme, can you PM me? I desperatly want to get my hands on it!!!

The broomstick race is always fun.

It is a race to see who can chug a beer, spin around with your nose on a broomstick 10 times, and run about 20-30 feet to the finish line.

Have heats of 4-8 people, with the top 1 or 2 moving on.

beer team sprint

teams of 3,4 or 5, each person has 2 beers

stand in a line and first person starts chugging his first beer, second peson starts his first beer when first person is done their first, and down the line it goes

last person in the line must finish both of their beers before heading back down the line to the finish (finish is when 1st person finishes their second beer)

Caps, but that won't work with draft due to the absence of...caps.
Ditto with pyramid caps.

3-man, but that isn't really an olympic style event.

Hmmm, I used to know more, I guess those are the only ones that didn't get flushed out.

And Fotze, in university the Century Club became too easy (well except for the no going to the washroom part), so a few of us tried for 150. I almost made it. Oh, to be young and alcohol tolerant again.

That's the classic boat race. Try doing it with warm Porter, that ups the degree of difficulty quite a bit.

If you've got kegs it may not work, but an incredibly tough one is the 5 pint challenge.

1 pint Ale
1 pint Lager
1 pint stout
1 pint cider
1 pint soda water

Chug them all as fast as you can.
Doesn't matter what order you do them in, just so long as the soda is last.
Anyone who can keep them all down, should win a chance to be felated by every woman in the joint (Except the really ugly ones).

From the old Taz Sunday Beer Olympic days:

Beer Chug-A-Thon: (Teams of Four) Fill a sandpail or other like object (preferably larger than a jug) with beer. Teams stand around jug and wait for start signal. First team to finish their pail of beer wins.

Beer Relay Race: (Teams of Four) Teams like up in single file at the starting line and wait for signal. First teammate runs around an obstacle or just straight to the beer table, chugs a beer and then runs back to starting line. (Optional: can have a bat or something that they have to spin around a predetermined amount of times after chugging before they get back to the starting line) Once crossing the line the next teammate runs to beer table and chugs... and so on. The team who's fourth in line crosses the starting line first after chuggin his/her beer first wins.

From my own keg party experiences:

Keg Stands: (One player at a time) Grab the two handles at the top of the keg and do a hand-stand (if everyone can't do this than you have two choices; 1. Put the keg against a wall and let people use the wall for balance 2. Get another person to hold the keg standers legs but make sure that they are not supporting any weight, just providing help) Now get someone to feed the keg hose into the Keg Standers mouth and time how long they can chug upside down. Winner will have the longest time before collapsing.

Missed one, From Family Guy:

Drink the Beer: (Multiple players)
Glen Quagmire: Who wants to play drink the beer?
Peter: Right here.
[drinks beer]
Peter: What do I win?
Glen Quagmire: Another beer.
Peter: I'm going for the high score.
Glen Quagmire: Actually, Charlie's got the high score.
Charlie: [peeing in the grand father clock] Hey, your clock won't flush.

Watch out for Team Ireland, or anyone from Winnipeg. They will be the last people standing.

This definitely ups the difficulty level, but goes well with the olympic theme.
Beer Mile, 4 cans of beer, 4 laps of a track.
Any puking results in a 1 lap penalty.
Beer-lap
Beer-lap
Beer-lap
Beer-lap
Penalty lap if necessary.
Sounds easy, but I've seen some seriously fit track athletes need 30 minutes or more for this event.

indeed it is, we've never called it that

as for the centurion...piece of cake

for an added challenge try 40 hands, tape a colt45, big bear, etc. to each hand and drink til you are done both bottles....the best part is that you are hooped for going to the bathroom, unless you spill the precious beer (or cheat, no one likes cheaters)

or one ive never seen done, a 26 of hard liquor and take a shot a minute......you may get done the bottle but you are done for the night after that one

Fourty Hands: okay, not so much of an event as it is a game. Plus you need Fourty's not kegs. Everyone gets two bottles of their favorite fourty (Colt 45, Big Bear, not Axehead) taped to each of their hands. Players are then not allowed to have the fourties taken off until both are finished, meaning you can't use the washroom or do anything wity your hands.

Another game: Get two pitchers of beer. Put a pint glass in the beer in one of the pitchers. Players then take turns pouring beer into the glass that is floating in the pitcher. Careful, the player that causes the glass to sink and become fully submerged (ie. when it stops floating) has to reach in quickly and then chug the pint. Kind of gross, unless you're hammed. This could be made into an event I think.

sorry, didn't read your post before my post with fourty hands. You must be from Airdrie.
