It should be Albertosaurus or something.

<dumb paleontology joke>
Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai is cool and all, but if they wanted an alberta-found ceratopsian dinosaur to put on a coin, they really should have gone with centrosaurus!
Get it? Centrosaurus!

The Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai dinosaur coin is the first in a 4-coin Prehistoric Creature glow-in-the-dark (photo-luminescent) series!

Wait, you're from Newfoundland? You can't be, you're way too articulate.

I got his point, but I personally see creationists as humourless, gullible brain-dead sheep instead of soulless robots.
...and wouldn't creationists think of everyone other than themselves as soulless?
either way, I like the coin .

Don't get me wrong, they do look cool, and I really doubt it costs a whole lot to change our money, but I have a hard time getting on board the whole 'well, it saves us money in the long run' train. Our previous bills had many anti-counterfeit measures in them, I'm not sure we needed new ones so soon after. And now the coins too?
Like I said, I don't really care, and I do like the new currency (who doesn't like new stuff?) I just wonder if there is any nation in the world that changes it as often as we do, and tries to spin it the way we do.
EDIT: Hey, look at this, purchase your own $100,000 (face value) coin! Kinda cool, I think.

I read a great article about this, unfortunately I can't find it now. But the gist of it was that counterfeiting causes a loss of confidence in currency, and that's the problem. This manifests itself in being unable to use $100 bills in many places, and often $50s too. Best to stay ahead of the counterfeiters. For a while we had an abnormally high counterfeit bill rate. I'm sure the mint wants to avoid that, and rightfully so.

Has anyone ordered one of these quarters? It appears there is no stock yet so you can't order one.
