The first part is my opinion, the second part is definitely science.

Springs1

Question:
What is it you do for a living? Not to hold it against you, just interested

#2- What percentage of servers would you are are stupid or uncaring?

#3- What percentage of people you talk to on the internet or through your blog would you say disagree with what you say?

#4- What are your other hobbies? I'm genuinely fascinated to find out what ranch loving women is behind the title of Springs1. You're an internet legend.....

I always tip better when the waiter brings me a refill without my asking for it. In my younger days they would occasionally do this with beer which was great having them see that your beer is almost empty and bringing another one over. When you are slowing down you just tell the waiter that this is the last one.

I like to think that my tipping extra goes a lot further to reward positive behaviour than your under tipping to punish bad behaviour and since we are trying to achieve opposite goals that will put my cause ahead in the long run.

Also, if you like this forum I think you should check out some of the other threads that we have going. Specifically, 'What do you do for a living?' and 'What's your "Claim to Fame"?'
Both good threads that I think you could contribute to as well.

I find it pretty pathetic that you have been doing this for almost a decade now that you have to sign up for forums that don't even relate to your topic (Shaving forum). I bet if i asked you any fact about hockey without you looking it up online then you wouldn't know jack squat.

The saddest part is she probably has multiple forums going on right now.

You'd think there's more ******important issues****** in this world, that someone could spend 10 years working on, than worrying about bad service....

So...you go to many different places with many different servers, cooks, etc., and end up having similar bad experiences? If only there were one constant that could account for all of these variables having the same results...

I'll give you a hint in the form of a joke.

Guy walks into the doctor's office. Says "Doctor, something's really wrong with my whole body! Everywhere I touch myself hurts like hell! Look! If I poke my arm...OW. If I poke my leg...OW. If I poke my belly...OW!" Doctor says, "your finger is broken".

This chick is delusional. She doesn't understand that ***SHE*** is the reason why she gets bad service so often.

I have worked both as well and my general finding is that the back of the house is underpaid. I would suspect that you work in higher end places where the system you descibe works and the majority of servers are excellent. In the mid level places i worked this never really happened hence me switching from the back to the front. As a customer i would like to be able to reward who i feel impacts my meal the most and for me its the cooks.

I think we all need to pause for a second and realize we may be witnesses to the most impressive Internet troll of ALL TIME. Let's look at the facts

She has been posting about this for a decade now. The service industry and only that. She has found a way to bring up 10+ pages of google search history just by googling Springs 1. She has posted on Shaving forums, monster truck fans, automobile, North Carolina state, senior citizens forums and now Calgary Puck and so many more we don't know about,

She actually responds individually to replies and posts about her. The time this must take to do and that it has gone on for this long is amazing!

The conversation has literally not evolved in the slightest. The problems she had in 03, remain the EXACT same ones she talks about now.

And she is not phased by it all, by the backlash everywhere she posts, she continues to discuss these same things, a decade later. Truly amazing.
