Another year, hopefully some people need mowers, motorcycles, quads tuned up or repaired.

What about gas powered trimmers ?
Needs a tune up and the spool re-loaded.

I would have bought mine from Lowe's if they would have been open when I got mine.

			Two questions.

I've been shopping for a snowblower and perhaps a sweeper. I'm curious if there's some brands out there you'd reccomend or think to stay away from?

Looking for something for the 2014/15 winter and probably shopping in the summer of 14 when people want to get them out of their garage. Also would be using them commercially doing a few drives/walks for neighbors.

Thanks

There is only a few companies that manufacture snow equipment until you get into the real commercial unit, some of the lower end Ariens models are the EXACT same unit you can buy at sears/lowes/canadian tire, it is just a different color.

Gravely mostly only makes high end equipment for contractors however alot of it is big/heavy so if you are not doing it professionally I would steer away from contractor units.

My selection would depend on engine, price and warranty. With doing a few neighbours just factor in higher maintenance costs (belts, sheer bolts, sliders and fricton wheels) but even then if you buy a higher quaility unit it will still last a LONG time with normal maintenance. I would not recommend anything with an off brand engine so you can always get parts for it.

A good priced sweeper that would work is the smaller ariens unit, as for a blower yamaha makes one of the best blowers I have used (quiet, throws snow like mad)

Bumping this up, The grass is green, make sure your mower runs or has the maintenance needed before its too late and someone is yelling at you
BTW: I will be changing things around a little bit and can now offer parts and equipment (Toro Brand)
