Nope, he doesn't. He is a greasy, spineless, whiney twerp. As log as he has some sort of fancy degree though...and uses Facebook, that qualified him to a bunch of 20 somethings in their parents basements that have never paid a nickel of tax... oh.. wait, so does he, and neither has he. I guess that is part of the appeal. I guarantee you Nenshi was the kid in class that ratted out his classmates to gain brownie points from his teacher.
I have heard some of the council session excerpts, and if anyone doesn't agree with him, he sounds like such a whiney little baby.
I just pray this city doesn't have to deal with a major emergency or crisis for his one term in power. The guy would be lost. He couldn't even handle 30 squatters essentially on his front lawn.
Next time you see a police officer... ask them what they think of Nenshi, and ask them what they thought of the last guy. This City will pay for Wannamakering this guy in, and I will laugh my ass off about it, even though it will likely somehow cost me money.

I have no issues with the bridge. Never have, I love the thing. I think it was one of Dave Bronconniers better decisions to actually build something that was not a boring piece of western architecture crap, and add some Euro flare to our city. Maybe more projects will follow that don't look like they were designed by some sort of committee on the planet beige.

Still sore that Barb didn't get in? Like that would have been better. I seem to remember voting for Nenshi because he had a lot of good ideas and wasn't afraid to talk in depth about them.

Nope, she would have been worse.
It was a garbage field, but Maciver would have at least made a good stop gap for a term or two, at least until a quality candidate came along. What has Nenshi changed for the better? What of his great ideas have been implemented?
I was a huge Bronconnier supporter, but I am admittedly biased because I know him on a business and personal level.
I will say this though, the stuffy image Dave has by in the public eye is so far off how the guy is in real life. He is one of the nicest, down to earth and FUNNY dudes you could ever ever meet in real life. The mans knowledge of the history and inner workings of the city are mind boggling, even beyond what you would expect a mayor to have to know.
