Rattie is in the Blues system isn't he? I could see Iggy being traded to the Blues for a package that includes Rattie and some current NHL players....
Would really like to see Sven and Rattie together on this team giong forward, could be like a Kane and Toews kinda thing.
My whole point is I'd really like to see the Flames add another player like Sven to the team moving forward.

While we're dreaming - trading Iginla for Rattie could be part of a master plan to finish last overall next year and draft MacKinnon.
Baertschi - MacKinnon - Rattie

Trading for Rattie would be a mistake.

ya, we need more reclimation projects. Knuble maybe?
I'd rather have more guys like Sven then more guys like BMO, at least young guys will improve and give 100%. Sven is doing awesome and the more guys we get like him at that age, the better.

Nice plays. He loves going through the middle, I just hope he keeps his head up. NHL dmen won't be so nice and let him go through like that.

I agree. While Rattie has definate scoring potential, he is quite one dimensional. Rattie only really plays well because of Sven, because if you look at Ratties scoring while Sven was out with a concussion, it plummeted significantly. Rattie relies on others setting him up. I'd rather keep Iggy than take on that boat.

Really? Plummeted? Sven's production would likely be lower without Rattie too. Good players help each others production, that's how it works. Sven is a better player, but lets not act like Rattie is a boat

Svens production without Ratti is only slightly lower while Rattis without Sven is something like 40% lower. Biggest reason IMO is that svens two way play is much better than rattis.

You should make it Sven but have fireballs or lightning bolts flying out of his hands.

Sounds to me like a Burrows/Cheechoo type player who is only good with elite talent playing with him.

Hahaha I like how there's a whole thread dedicated just to following Sven and Wotherspoon in the playoffs, yet we still have 4 other prospects on 3 other teams.
Shows how much Flames fans care about non-elite prospects...

Did you read through the thread? There are posts updating our other prospects as well.
On that note, I watched Ferland last night at the 'Dome and I really like his style of play. I'm quite excited to see him at training camp next year.

I know, and the excitement about Sven is well deserved, but why not at least have a thread dedicated to all of our prospects that are in the WHL playoffs right now than just Sven. Seems dumb.

Is that like complaining that that their are too many threads talking about Iggy and Kipper and not enough about Comeau or Jackman.
Fans like to follow the top players and tend to ignore role players. It has also been since we drafted Phaneuf that we had an elite prospect in the system to care about. So let people have fun. We need more of that around here.
