What is World War Z? That's one I don't know about.
Try Dead Snow. Wouldn't make it on my best of list for zombie flicks - but it is good fun.

Fantastic book.... also being made into a movie right now with Brad Pitt.

Another book that I really liked is called "Day by Day Armageddon".
It's one guy's journal of his day by day survival. One of my hands down favorites for sure.

Sometimes you just need to enjoy the show for what it is. A fun, cool ride. Nit picking about a 3 second camera shot is a little silly IMO. Let it go.
If they explain why in that moment the walkers weren't attacking her, I won't care. If they don't explain it, I really won't care.

I don't think it's nitpicking at all. The entire show is based around distancing yourself from walkers as much as possible. This chick not only had 2 that seemed indifferent towards her, but she chained herself to them. Pretty important to the storyline, wouldn't you agree?

Any other great zombie or zombie type recomendations?

I'll also throw my hat into the 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later ring. 28 Days was more original and 28 Weeks was more of a traditional zombie movie, but I thoroughly enjoyed both.

I think in the Talking Dead they sort of explained that Michonne was a character who had gone beyond the panic of the situation that they're in, and gotten some control / mastery over it. It wouldn't surprise me then if she knew of a way to control them to some level - maybe she feeds them enough that they don't feel the need to attack, or gave them gastric bypass surgery.

I heard Peter Jackson's zombie movie is great, but haven't seen it myelf.

I agree that the walkers she has leashed is very important and I fully believe their situation will be explained(who they are, why they're chained to her etc.). But you had an issue with why they weren't attacking her in the 3 second camera shot showcasing this new character. I don't think there's anything that needs to be explained here. It was a quick shot used for dramatic effect to introduce the audience to this new mysterious character. When I saw the hood, I was thinking, "who the hell is that?", not "why are those walkers not attacking her in this quick glance".
Now if in the S3 premiere, the chained walkers never attack her or anyone else and they don't explain, then I agree with you. But this quick 3 second shot.....not so much.

I got into this show a week ago, and basically watched both season non-stop. I love it. Sure most of the details don't add up, and there is stuff that bugs me sometimes, but its still a great show.
Can't wait for season 3. The hooded woman adds something great. The helicopter flying over at the start of the last episode was never explained either. They will probably cover that too.

The helecopter was a past event, it was just used to show how zombies follow sound and end up as a herd.

10 Reasons Why The Walking Dead Should Just Kill Carl
- Carl, stay in the house.
- Seriously, Carl. Stay in the house
- Carl, I don’t want to yell but it’s the middle of the zombie apocalypse and we’re going to need you to stay close by.
- Okay, buddy. Can you be a good little sheriff and stay put? I don’t know, guard the living room. Yes, okay here’s a special hat and you are officially on duty to protect the couch cushions. Just stay in the house.
- Carl, I’d ground you but it seems a bit trite what with the hordes of Zombies outside trying to eat our faces.
- Remember what happened when another little kid wandered off alone? You were here for that.
- It’s great you’re keeping your childish rebellion alive but if one of the bad guys gets you, Daddy is going to have to shoot you in the head.
- Please, Carl. Just stay here. I’ll be right back. Protect the couch cushions. Make some lunch. Get back to doing that math homework we inexplicably cared about 4 episodes ago.
- Carl, I’m not ####ing around. Please, Carl. Just stay in the house. Do this one ####ing thing. Just stay in the house for the next 5 minutes.
- HAS ANYONE SEEN CARL?? HE’S NOT IN THE HOUSE.

This is the only thing that really bugs me. One kid already wandered off and got killed, Carl has wandered off a couple of times and Lori gets all freaked out. At what point do you not let the kid out of your sight.

^ this is why I was happy with what happened to Sophia. All the kids seem to do is put them in danger by running off or not shutting the fata up.

On Talking Dead, I think Kirkman said that there is a helicopter in Atlanta and that we might see it again in season 3. I'm not so sure that it was a very distant event.

Really? I thought for sure it would lead to an encounter with more humans.

In the very first episode Rick follows a helicopter in Atlanta on his horse. When he turns the corner he ran into a huge herd of zombies and ends up taking shelter in a tank. I wonder if that is the same group that eventually makes it to the farm.
