Yes, the intent may be harmless and light, but it can and does represent something else.

So they compare one to a child abuser and the other to a murderer?
Sad.

That bus is fantastic, really funny. I hope Ms. Smith shrugs it off with some good humour.

Agreed, they need to put a hubcap on the other wheel to get the whole Xena effect though.

This bus is why you don't want to cheap out on design services folks, sometimes it's worth paying an agency.
I have a buddy who does vehicle wraps (don't believe he did this one) and he was saying it's not uncommon for them to design, print & apply a wrap all in the same day. So it's quite possible somebody from the office ordered the wrap, only got a rough template (possibly without the wheels included at all) on a line drawing and said "that's perfect, print it!" and they literally we're unaware of the placement until the bus rolled out of the shop.
Although some designer is going to be laughing about this over beer for years to come.

Of course, now there is a poll asking just this question.

I suspect it will be something along these lines. The bulk of the artwork is identical to our billboards that have been up for months.
What I don't get though, is when they were putting it on.... wouldn't prompt a "um, hmmm. Maybe we should call someone about this."

I saw a tweet from a reporter saying the WRP is going to change the bus because it's "distracting". Probably for the best.

They want the campaign to be about ideas - clearly she has some big-uns! (ideas that is)

Depends on the process & how it happened.
If it's a high volume shop (when I say shop, I specifically mean the garage applying the wrap) and the Wild Rose bus was just one of 1/2 dozen vehicles their doing that day than it's possible the guys applying it just shrugged it off "well, that's the art we were given and it's already printed. Get it done and onto the next one!"
Where as if it was an ad agency doing the artwork on a proper template than there's no excuse for it.
But I suspect it was probably more of a "here is the dimensions of the bus, please allow [X] trim space" with no specific consideration taken for windows/mirrors/tires etc.

Ahh well, guess the bus will be going in for a re-wrap.
Love this Edmonton Journal pic.

They better check the front of the bus too, could be headlight issues.

Just got an auto poll on the committee story...there wasn't any questions about who I wanted to vote for, but just on if I had heard of it, if Redford should let MLAs who took the money to stand in the next election, and if I would thihk more or less of those who took the $.
Interesting...
