Took 2 minutes and ten bucks. They replaced my SIM and supposedly when I plug in tomorrow it will be LTE capable. No changes to the actual plan or billing.

iFixit did their mandatory tear down, and are reporting there are a pair of 512 MB DDR2 RAM chips on the logic board. This is quite an interesting departure from previous devices powered by the A4 and A5 processors, which have the RAM on-die. I wonder if the A5X also has on-die memory, maybe tapped exclusively for video memory?

Can you tie your new ipad to your data phone plan still for 10 bucks?

(I am on Telus, and considering a new iPad, but don't want to have to get another data plan. I DO want the ability to internet without wifi and using my iphone).

Anyone thinks there will be lineups tonight at BestBuy? They are opening their stores at 8 am tomorrow. Possibility of it getting sold out by 230-3?

Probably, Apple Store will have much more stock (and more people though)

Just remember someone has to be at YOUR house to sign for it tomorrow. These won't be left at neighbors and your driver won't be in the mood to try again on a Friday night. Unless you tip.

Doesn't everyone have stuff like this delivered to work?

Our CEO occasionally gets her online purchases sent to work. Once we noticed a shoe box that had arrived and our reception staff managed to create a near duplicate of the shipping box and stuck an old pair of smelly workout shoes in it, and gave it to her instead.

Her reaction opening that box was pretty good.

I had previous Apple stuff delivered to work... and UPS took it to "Shipping and Receiving"!! Some minimum wage temp clerk signed for it and stamped for it to go through "Materials and Acquisitions". It apparently passed through 6 peoples hands before it got to me.

I picked one up at the London Drugs on 130th. They had all models and there are no lines.

I didn't even have to track my shipping...

Best Buy Deerfoot Meadows had a ton. No lineup at all. Out of 16 GB white wifi though. They had black.

So after playing with it for a little bit, is it worth the money. Still trying to decide whether it is worth it or not?

The display really is beautiful. Side-by-side with the iPad 1 it is quite a change in both speed and display. Not sure I would upgrade from a 2 but from a 1 it's quite different.

I'm just backing it up from my original iPad and then I'll really test it out.
