Cleaning up a car oil spill
My car has leaked some oil on the driveway, it is approx 2 sq/feet .
What is the best way to clean it up to make the driveway look fairly clean again?
I have seen online using kitty litter then to use dishwasher soap to clean up the stain.
Any suggestions?

Kitty litter is what I use. And dishwasher soap sounds like a good idea if you want to get rid of the stain.

Some say kitty litter and washer fluid. The most effective thing is varsol and a broom, but you don't want that getting into the storm sewer. It's pretty tough to get it out completely.

Just grab some waterfowl from a nearby pond and mop it up with their feathers...
Or kitty litter...

For the stain, dish soap works alright. Kerosene (or some equivalent solvent) works great as well.

If you use kitty litter, make sure you grind it in to the spill with your heel. Helps with the absorption.

There's this green product that they have at Home Depot, it's purple and comes in a 2 liter jug. Green was in the name, can't remember the exact name of it, but it's biodegradable.
I used it on a huge 5X5 at least oil spill in two separate spots following the instructions on the bottle, and it cleaned it so well you wouldn't even have known that a drop of oil was spilled. If I recall correctly it has enzymes that break down the oil.
Basically you dilute it, and pour it on it, let it sit, and then hose it off shortly after.

What if you forego the kitty litter and just squeeze your cat really hard until it pee's all over the oil stain.
But Kitty Litter would be easier.

Just wait till the NHL season is over. The oil will go to its natural postseason habitat........the golf course
