Marmite is not Vegemite
But only an Aussie would bother arguing that......

Marmite and Vegemite are two different (but similar) products.

I've seen Vegemite in Safeway before, but since it's one of the most vile things I've ever eaten, I don't look for it, so I don't know if they still sell it.

Thanks for the info, but both the British and Kiwi Marmite are actually Vegemite's disgusting cousins.

That far south is a like a day trip for me, but I'm going to make the journey. Cheers.

I've pretty much given up on looking every time to go to either Superstore or Safeway, but I'll keep my eyes peeled once again. I've seen Marmite, but . . . *bleyah!*

Thanks for bumping..

Need to get this off my chest..

They had these selling for 99 cents at nearly every grocery store in Honolulu. Now I cannot find Portuguese sausage anywhere except the butcher shop, and they expect me to pay outrageous prices for it. How will I be able to complete my Hawaiian meal of Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice now?

The British Pantry across from Northland Mall in that little mall with the RBC and Starbucks has it. When my Aussie friends moved here I was there once a week picking up a couple jars because they ate this on everything.

Walmart carries them from time to time in the Seasonal section with the toys and other random candy/food. I've seen them at Costco too.
